About K.Vandergriff

A little about myself as an author , I grew up in rural Colorado on a small cattle ranch and I found a deep love for reading in high school. Reading helped me escape some really ugly realities of my life and jump into another world. As an adult I maintained that love for reading, but always wondered what writing would be like. At 24 years old with 2 kids and working a full time job I decided to go to school to become an EMT and I got nationally certified later that same year. I maintained my full time job while running 911 as an EMT in my small rural community, the job can be very hard on mental health so I started writing, and thus became ‘Heading Out’.
