A good take on Mental Health
Most people look at mystery novels from the viewpoint of the one solving the case. But what makes this one interesting is that it looks at the viewpoint of the victim. While there were some minor hiccups on the grammatical structure, I like how the story rose up to the challenge in making PTSD something understandable in layman's terms. I would suggest however to further research on therapies and interrogations. The interrogation might need a little more power play, especially between Detective Langdon and Alman.

The big challenge here is to make mental health and mental disorders easy to digest without losing the accuracy of symptoms. But you're almost there. A suggestion could also be to interview people who have mental disorders so that there's more variety in triggers asides from palpitations.
Anyway, keep on writing. Looking forward to the rest of the book.
