Asimov-like

I really enjoyed reading this short story. I liked that the author set it squarely in our times of political and social turmoil, in the middle of a Trump protest, but that the main character is not from our time. It made me think of some of Asimov's stories and I would have liked to find out more. The premise is intriguing and I'm left wondering about a few things, especially what happened to the women, as he hints at problems. Not too much is revealed, leaving readers curious for more. I personally would keep reading if this was a longer story, but it works well as a short story too.
I also loved the humor. There is not much of it, but it fits well where it appears in the story.
I sent specific feed back for grammar/sentence structure issues, but those are easy to fix.
Great story!

A story with promise

I love that the author chose this subject, it sounds like it's something she is passionate about and it shows through her writing. As a reader, I'm always looking to learn something new and this story takes me somewhere different than my usual reading destinations. The author incorporates a good amount of detail to create the setting of this tale and engages the reader through the dialogue. Some grammatical errors and technical issues prevent this story from flowing naturally, but they can be fixed with a good edit. Overall a good start to a promising story that is worth the work needed to polish it :)

Endearing

I stumbled upon this short excerpt and read it in one sitting. The amount of text shared did not allow me to become familiar with the plot or the characters of the story, yet I enjoyed the endearing humorous banter between them. The dialog flowed naturally as among old friends.
Technically speaking, the text is well constructed and the grammar flawless. The style of writing gave me a kind of Agatha Christiesque feel and while I have no idea where this story is going, I am certainly imagining some kind of intrigue or mystery within it. Good luck with this story!

Classic plot, yet I’m hooked

While this story has some atypical elements (men can transform into animals) and life partnerships is assigned to women, the meat of it is the classic plot of popular boy is mean to unpopular girl, but then falls in love with her. Yet, even so, I found myself drawn into their lives, I wanted to know what happens next and it was hard to stop reading. Grammar and punctuation can easily be fixed by a good editor but a story that keeps the reader from doing other things (they’re supposed to be doing haha) is a winning story. Good luck with it and I hope to see it in bookstores soon!
