Lisa Higgins writes fanciful and dramatic stories with irresistible, misunderstood heroes and strong, stubborn heroines. As a child, she loved reading under the covers with a flashlight until the wee hours of the night. Although Lisa has a vivid imagination, she pursued life before finding her passion for writing and spinning tales.
She also has a passion for helping other writers with self publishing, proofreading, and editing. Lisa was so good at it, she went back to school and is now double certified in editing.
Born in South Florida, Lisa adores eighty-degree weather, palm trees, and the ocean; however, she was raised near the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee—God's Country—and has a tender spot for the country and its surrounding beauty. Lisa hates winter, drinks too much coffee, is a music enthusiast, adores animals, and diet coke.
She presently lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with her nine-year-old son, Marshall, a Dachsweiler (Winnie dog/Rottweiler) named José, and three cats: Maggie, Romeo, and Milo.
