Terry Pratchett would be proud. This is a creative, original tale reminiscent of a Neil Gaiman short story. I'm intrigued that it deals with luck--a supernatural force but that so many people in real life believe holds real power over their lives. It also reminds me of a great X-Files Episode: The Goldberg Variation. Don't skip this one, folks; it's sure to go far in this contest.

Entertaining Read!

Though some of the technical aspects can be improved, (and writing is never perfect and can always be revised) I think the author nailed one of the hardest parts: Storytelling. The story, plot and characters are all fascinating, and the idea is truly original and creative. This writer has plenty of time to work on cleaning up grammar, but storytelling ability can't be taught, and this author has it. With some slight polishing, this story could be great. Highly recommend.

Gripping!

This author had me hooked from line 1, so he definitely has a way with words. The title is also very clever and draws you right in so the whole story is unified. This is a chilling, interesting read by a talented author. I highly recommend it.
