I haven't finished the book yet, but I'm nearly 2/3rds of the way finished with it and, overall, it's a great story. Very interesting and thought provoking. Great characters. The story has managed to keep my attention, which is honestly hard to do.
I only have a few qualms with it. Some parts of the plot felt extremely predictable. Joshua sees something, he wounds himself, falls down, and passes out. That happened... A LOT. And then the excessive use of exclamation points. So so so many of those. This is a personal preference, but I feel like so many exclamation points make it harder to take the story seriously, and they are just not necessary. Also,you probably should not switch from first person to third person. It's just confusing and doesn't flow well.
But, like I said, great job. One of the best stories I've read on Inkitt so far, and I look forward to reading more of your work!

Are you proud of what you have done? I had plans to clean my ENTIRE house today, but NOOOOO. Instead, I've spent the whole day reading this beautiful story and SOBBING LIKE A MORON.
