Interesting.

You have a nice style of writing. Your subject matter is not something I would typically care to read, but you have a nice flare for descriptive wording. All-in-all I think that you present a very intriguing and thought provoking concept.

Epic Story Begins!

I love Catherine's style of writing in setting up this series. Her MC is very relate-able and like-able. She has very broad uses of magical creatures and concepts. Her imagination just carries you through this series form the very first page to the last!

This is one of my personal favorites of hers! I am always very pleased anytime she publishes soemthing else to read!

Vivid descriptive Language!

Well, the truth is, this is a very strong story from the very first. You have very heavy comments made with true wisdom in them. I also loved your descriptive use of magic. It was nice to see someone with such an active type of power use. A lot of manuscripts these days seem to tend towards more parlor tricks, less on trying to capture real feats of magic. I look forward to reading more of your work in the near future!

Something I would curl up with on a cold night!

I like this. It has a very dramatic start. I very nice mix of foreboding and mundane events. The MC is very relate-able and you get a very clear characterization of the supporting characters in their flawed, but caring manners. I like how She is not afraid to write the parents as less than perfect, yet still show their true affection. This is a solid story. I would recommend it to anyone else!

Gripping and Unique!

There are many types of werewolf romance with mates involved. This was not one of them! I loved the concepts. I liked the conflict and the characters. The MC's did not have it easy in this story. they struggled and every victory they had was hard won. I loved the perspective shown. It is a sort of Beauty and the Beast tale, but not in any obvious sort of way, more a theme.

This gets two very excited thumbs up, and five stars! Excellent work, excellent writing!

Unique.

I can see that the concepts is very creative. I still believe the author is going to grow greatly and mature as a writer. I have no doubt that this will end up being a unique and intriguing story.

I found myself drawn to the idea and the duress the MC is put under. I feel like it was very "real."

I look forward to seeing what this author evolves into in the next five years!

Surprising

This was very far outside my typical comfort-zone. I still enjoyed this book. While not perfect, the plot and the interactions were very touching. There struggle between man and monster is nice. It is a very old concept in literature. I felt like the author did a good job of humanizing the monster. It felt like a bit of a vampire, Beauty And the Beast, sometimes, which is not a bad thing.

Even if you are not typically drawn to this particular sub-genre. This book can hold value. I would like to check out more of this Author's work!

Unique and Refreshing.

It is nice to see a writer who is willing to write a story form the perspective of a married couple. I felt like this story kept it's own pace and did a great job of showing the day-to-day insecurities and struggles of marriage and raising children. I like the way she seems to be unaware of what she is saying and seeing in the early chapters. It even brings some level of amusement, like the part where she mumbles about her husband eyeing the hot younger girl at his work, but not having acted on it. This book is written with no regard of what is "popular" in the market. I feel like this author is just dancing to the beat of their own drum. It has layers of depth and the more shallow humorous portions too. I felt a nice balance of elements of story telling.
