Absolute page turner

I just wanted to keep reading.
So far this was a fantastic read. It feels well thought out and planned. the author knows where they want to take you with the story as it develops.
Minor things with the main character and her immaturity but I'm guessing the author has intended for that to be from the abuse.
I would like to see more character development from her. It does get abit tedious when she has inner powers to understand others feelings. Recommendations (if not already planned): acknowledgement of her own feelings and progressing past the submissive "woe is me" crying when confronted, held accountable etc, and being taught the difference between being attacked and being asked hard questions through her developing friendships etc.
Additional time with the brother as the time line jumps weeks in-between for training maybe abit more detail about their interactions and progressive separation from each other.

A good start

I enjoyed the writing of the first chapter. It made me want to know more about the relationship between the 2 characters and how they reached that point between them.
As this is only the first chapter, it's a really good start. It provides a good introduction and the settings are described quite well and I found it easy to picture in my mind how the characters look and sound.

Page turner

This collection of stories are quite fun and easy to read. The descriptions are well written and each story is its own. Some feel inspired by things I've read or seen before but are unique in their own way. The author has done an awesome job of laying out their plot and character development to keep you reading

Invested

I'm currently up to chapter 3 and enjoying the book so far.
Slowly characters are being fleshed out.
Trigger warnings need to be added for this story. I also feel a little research goes a long way when dealing with mental health topics and how to be more sensitive and really get into how the characters managed to get to that point. I'm hoping this happened for later chapters but so far I'm invested in seeing what's next for the main character.

Peaceful and provoking

I found the collection of poems thought-provoking for some pages. I feel like this would be the kind of book you could pick up and feel understood by the end. It certainly made me feel better after a long day at work.
I hope there is similar to come from the author, about different experiences.
There are no negatives that come to mind for this book.
