Necronomicon: Burnt Offerings
Of all the things cosmic that H.P Lovecraft lent to us, one that will always prevail (monsters or no monsters) is the atmosphere and this title, for as long as it stretches its “fishy” smell, is nothing if not a champion of atmosphere. Much like a recurrent bad dream, the story and its characters (specially the quirky and veiled Penny) clings to an ominous notion and there is something truly unique about this book as well as the one the have preceded it: although it might be heavily influenced by/take place in the Lovecraftian universe, it still manages to gleam with authenticity.
I would recommend you double check punctuation marks, though I believe that is something we all need to constantly work on.
It was an amazing read overall and can’t wait to see what comes next.
