Raw, Real, and Impossible to Put Down
"I have to say, this book completely took me by surprise. The author has a gift for portraying emotions through a beautiful, vivid writing style that makes you feel as if you’re living the story alongside the characters. You love them, feel with them, cry with them, and even find yourself shouting at them at times. When I first started reading, I thought I had everything figured out but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The author pulled off something remarkable by making events seem one way, only to deliver twists that completely change everything you thought you knew. Once I started reading, I simply couldn’t stop. The characters are flawed, human, raw, complicated, and incredibly real. Their emotions and struggles feel authentic, which makes the story all the more captivating. This is definitely a story not to be missed. I absolutely loved it and I’m already moving on to book two."
So alive and real
"I've fallen in love with the story. It's the kind that makes you uncomfortable to read because of how real the emotions are, how relatable everything feels and hits home. It's complicated, full and not simple in the way of bows tied on fairytales. It is also very well written. Love it Dana. I'm definitely continuing to read more. 🤎"
A book you don't want to end
"I started this book thinking I kind of knew where it would go. I thought I was reading a love story where the MC, torn between her feelings and what's right, would make a hard choice. But it would all end up for the best—the Hollywood version of romance. To simplify this book into a trope would be like trying to simplify a lived life into one line. Because that's what she really did here. The author created characters who are insecure and prideful, uncertain and sure. They felt real. I loved them, and I laughed with them. I felt their pain when they hurt and ached when they couldn't bear to feel it themselves. I started the story with firm, unshakable opinions about the characters. The author took everything I thought I knew—all those assumptions that never appeared on the pages but which I had simply applied—and made them crumble. Then she rebuilt. And I think I'm a little bit of a better person after having been shown so clearly how wrong I can be. Throughout it all, there is friendship and support—a group that warms your heart. I didn't want it to end."
A bittersweet story Morning Sunset 💜
"Well what a journey and what a rollercoaster of high emotions here just where I thought things were coming to the end I was left with a cliffhanger a big cliffhanger. 💜 First I was taken in from the story and then I fell in love with the characters, I love Emma and I feel I can relate to her in some ways. 💜 This book pulls at real human emotions and how different it is for everyone. 💜 I do not like to spoil a story in my reviews just that the end I did not see coming at all and I will be reading book 2. 💜 Now the Author Dana she really pulls at the emotions with this story with real human emotion and has you the characters in this story complex and layered which is what I find outstanding and real. 💜 I love the descriptive layers of dialogue in this book truly powerful. 💜 Thank you Dana, I am now waiting patiently for book 2 💜💜"

A Masterpiece of Emotional Tension and the Power of the Unsaid
"Morning Sunset’ is a breathtaking exploration of the human heart’s most vulnerable corners. From the very first page, Dana draws you into a world where silence is as heavy as words, and every choice feels like a matter of life and death. What makes this story stand out is the incredible emotional contrast. I was deeply moved by the dynamic between the characters:Lucas represents the 'quiet safety of a sunrise'—the anchor who held Emma together when she was a 'wreck.'André is the 'dangerous beauty of a sunset'—a master manipulator with a 'velvet voice' whose return threatens everything. The author’s use of sensory details is masterful. You can almost feel the 'sharp shards of glass' of Emma’s thoughts and the 'physical blow' of returning to reality from a dream. The metaphor of the rainbow as a fleeting bridge to childhood innocence, only to be shattered by a single phone call, is poetic and heartbreaking. This is a raw, honest look at betrayal and the agonizing struggle to choose between what is safe and what is familiar. If you enjoy stories that make your heart race and leave you questioning if a second chance is ever truly deserved, you must read this."
Emotional Storytelling
"The author has a great way of getting you sucked into the story. The characters and dialogue are masterfully done and very vivid. I got very invested into the characters and their lives. Great so far! Can't wait to read more from this author. "
Between Sunrise and Sunset
"I’ve really been enjoying Morning Sunset so far. The way the story opens, with Emma caught between memories, doubts, and emotions, immediately pulled me in. I love how the author builds the emotional atmosphere — the rain, the quiet moments, and Emma’s inner thoughts make everything feel very vivid and real. Her interactions with Lucas feel natural and layered, especially with their long history, and it creates a tension that keeps the reader curious about what really lies between them. At the same time, the moments with André bring a different kind of warmth and tenderness to the story, creating a beautiful contrast in Emma’s journey. The author has a wonderful way of creating emotional depth and bringing the characters to life through dialogue and atmosphere. The writing feels smooth, engaging, and heartfelt. It’s clear that a lot of care went into building this story and its emotional layers. This is a wonderful book so far, and I’m really looking forward to seeing how the story develops. Please keep writing — you’re doing an amazing job."
More Than the Story It Promises
"At first glance, the summary of Morning Sunset seems to reveal almost everything. It almost feels as if the ending is already waiting there, quietly written between the lines. And yet, once the story begins, something unexpected happens. The way the author unfolds the narrative makes the journey far more important than what we think we already know. Scene after scene, the story moves in directions that feel natural, but never predictable. What once seemed obvious slowly becomes uncertain again. The characters are written with remarkable care. Their emotions, doubts, and reactions feel authentic, which makes it very easy to connect with them from the very beginning. What I appreciate most about this story is the way the author builds emotional tension through the characters rather than relying only on the plot itself. Their relationships feel genuine, complex, and deeply human. The dialogue flows beautifully and the descriptions create vivid moments without ever feeling heavy or forced. It’s the kind of writing that makes reading feel effortless. Even though the summary might seem to give away the ending, the way this story is told makes you realize that the destination is no longer the most important part. The journey is. And I am genuinely looking forward to seeing where it leads next. "
Sky vs Earth, Sunrise vs Sunset - So beautiful!
"Morning Sunset pulled me in right from the prologue. Dana has such a gift for capturing the raw, aching tension of being torn between two people — the one who feels like fire and the one who feels like home. The way Emma's internal struggle is woven through the story feels so real and emotionally honest. You can feel the weight of every unspoken word and every lingering glance. The metaphor of sky versus earth, sunrise versus sunset, is beautifully threaded throughout and gives the whole story a poetic quality without ever feeling heavy-handed."
where tension meets warmth🖤
"Dana’s writing style is fluid, emotionally engaging, and driven by natural, dynamic dialogue.💫 She balances tension and lightness, making every scene feel intimate and real. Emma is one of my favorite characters: she’s impulsive, emotional, and wonderfully human, which makes her easy to connect with😍. I also love Ryan; he brings warmth and humor, and his proposal moment was both heartfelt and fun to read. Dana builds emotional tension in such a compelling way🖤 and I’m excited to see what happens next!"
not a typical love story
"I really love this story. At first it felt like a pretty typical “abusive boyfriend, best guy friend, true love” setup, but the way the author adds layers in every chapter makes it so much deeper and more interesting. It actually starts to feel real, since things are never as simple as they seem. The beginning was a bit slow, but it keeps pulling me in more with each chapter, and now I’m really excited (and a little nervous) to see where it goes next."
