Prologue
... I looked at him, only to make sure I was still in his arms.
Once I was certain, I let out a sigh of relief and pressed my face against his chest once more. I had no idea where we were; I only knew that we stood there, locked in an embrace, somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Around us, there was nothing but emptiness and total darkness, yet for some reason, I wasn’t afraid. I knew I was with him, and that made me feel invincible.
I wanted so badly to tell him... I wanted so much for him to hear me, but every time I tried to speak, my voice was too weak. It simply dissolved into the air, refusing to break the silence. For a moment, I closed my eyes and clung to him tighter, hoping he would understand me without words. I felt so safe and at peace in his arms-so protected and loved-that I could have stayed that way for an eternity... an eternity in the dark.
When I opened my eyes, I shuddered.
The darkness was gone... and so was he.
I stood alone under the scorching rays of the sun, and my voice had returned. But what is there to say now?
What can you possibly say when it’s already too late?...

Great start!!!!!
I am taken in already my lovely 💜
Such a good start. Very intriguing. It's a short prologue, but I can already tell this is going to be good #ICBC
