POV

This is a great story to explain anxiety to people who don't have it (shocking, I know) and it's all told through the eyes of a loquacious and innocent teenager. While the main character's ignorant innocence could get tiring after a while, the street smarts of her friend and romantic interest lent a sense of reality to her narrative. While few people will experience the problems Jasmine goes through, they will identify with overcoming a challenge and the various methods she uses to climb her mountain. There is strong language and sexual themes, but in keeping with the modern theme, it is gratuitous to a realistic degree.
