Review

"This book shows people can change and deserves a 2nd chance. They just need someone to hear and clear the misunderstanding. And people like Mari showed they can become strong and stop people from pushing her around"

Great stuff!

"Anyone can write a story, but not everyone captures the readers. This book hooked me from the start. I could not put it down even when real life interrupted! I'm looking forward to reading more of this author's books. Thank you! "

The title of this book is practically the gist of the whole storyline

"My emotions are very mixed with this story as there were a lot characters involved which affected the female leads character development and it was very strange how the writer just added to our female lead character's challenges with not much reprieve, there was barely anything positive happening for her which made it hard to get through the book and the balance was just off. There was some change from the doormat tendencies of our female lead but felt wonky since she didn't change much and she forgave most people that wronged her and the worst part was the romance that was added in that wasn't established well and didn't feel earned."

Needs Work

"The author does a good job of weaving multiple story lines together, but the side plots ended up becoming the main focus of the story with the romance becoming back-burner. The love interest wasn’t even introduced until chapter 8. It was really hard to empathize or connect to their relationship and by the end of the book, I was barely invested in the story. The main storyline ended up being about the company and the goings on at the business, which, was honestly boring. A significant problem with this is that the author does not understand how companies are structured nor run. I understand how getting the business details correct might seem like overkill if the story is supposed to focus on the romance, but there are multiple basic concepts that are misunderstood, making the story confusing and difficult to read. Dialogue was awkward and conversations were unnatural. The start of the story honestly wasn’t bad. Character interaction and behavior was believable, but as the story stretched on, the characters’ speech and actions were less and less realistic. It felt like the author was mainly focused on finishing the story. The whole story needs heavy editing for continuity, errors, and grammar. There were times when I couldn’t figure out what was being discussed because the author would begin a paragraph talking about “it” or “them” without disclosing who or what was being discussed. One scene had the 3 business parters in NYC but they would flip-flop between referring to NYC as “here” and “there” (the latter suggesting they were in DC)... details that just made it difficult to read. Promising start. The author is clearly talented and the mistakes should not take away from any feelings of accomplishment- Holy crap you wrote a story!! Feel proud, but then go get your story edited so it can be the masterpiece you envisioned. "
