"I really truly loved this book. I was iffy on Maya at first, but she's a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for. I couldn't put up with everything that she did, but I applaud the way she handled a lot of her situations. I loved Nacho as her friend and I love that Max will have some real competition in the next book. I look forward to see him groveling more."

"I'm glad to hear there will be a book 2 because the way this ended was not what I expected. I loved every unpredictable moment of it! The life Maya lives is heartbreaking. Her development was slow but not unexpected considering everything from childhood to her present. Maya ends up being surrounded by good men in her life it seems if only she trusted more and had more faith in herself. I do not know what book 2 has in store, but the way this ended, I am already feeling more anxious and suspicious of a certain person. I just want to see her happy though 😭. Thank you for sharing."

"I literally could not stop reading this book to the point my battery died. It's great writing and a great story from a different perspective that we don't read often. It's definitely a must read. I can't wait for the next chapter or next book to follow what I've read so far."

"I must admit that I was a little disappointed with the ending. Unfortunately, I can relate to Maya on so many levels and felt myself wanting closure for my own personal benefit. I'm unsure if I want to read book 2 if her and Max don't work things out. "
