"Wow, honestly, when I first started reading 'Drift,' the first thing I noticed was the age gap between the two protagonists, and I was hoping this wasn't another 'girl with daddy issues' trope-kinda story, 'cause Inkitt's algorithm has been pushing similar tropes. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the story steered clear of those tropes entirely. The author handles the heavy subject of domestic violence with remarkable sensitivity, painting a truly moving albeit heartbreaking picture of what both Jed and Chloe had to endure. The only disappointment in this story is that Mark did not suffer a painful end and walked away easily after murdering Lily. I just hope karma crushes him like the lumber-carrying truck from 'Final Destination 2' That minor frustration aside, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read. My compliments to Nina Ramseyer for a job well done. "

"I’m not gonna lie, I’m usually not the biggest fan of huge age gaps, but I’m so glad I read this story. Jed fully stole my heart. Completely. The story itself was so beautiful. It was a little sad and heartbreaking at times, but it still felt incredibly comforting. Definitely ended up being such a comfort read for me. Big congrats to the author for writing such a beautiful story."
