"Just recently finished reading this, and I loved it! One of the best (if not THE best) stories I've read on Inkitt. It's a long story. Over 1300 pages. Some readers complained about this. I can understand why this would be a difficult read for some. Not everybody enjoys reading long stories. But if you see a story having more than 1300 pages, you should know that this is going to be a daunting read. You don't get to just "know" the characters and then they are gone. You have to settle in into these long reads. If this is not your thing, I strongly suggest not even starting on this story, because it WILL draw you in 😉 I myself firmly believe that there is no such thing as too many chapters - it is my emotional support for a couple of days. I think of long stories as portals to other worlds. For the days that it takes to read them, they become my familiar alternate universes worthy of investing my time and my heart. There are short stories that I love, and there are also long stories that I absolutely do not love, and in some cases couldn’t even finish. I recently read another story that was much shorter than the stories I usually like to delve into. And it was a horrible read. No detail to the world building at all. No description of the inner turmoil of the characters. But thís long story is definitely worth its weight. The superb writing style, the many and intriguing plot twists and excellent character development just drew me in. I really enjoyed DianaReckless' writing style. It is developed and I can see that she herself loves world building and creating characters that are worth settling in to. She took the time and mental effort to visualise the setting and characters for the reader, almost running a mind-movie at times. I really feel like I got into the 3 main characters' heads, and enjoyed them as characters. This story is a real page-turner, I couldn’t stop reading! The plot twists are refreshing, insightful and honest and human. I will be recommending to others!"
