"I haven’t read a book this quickly in a long time. I was rushing through my daily chores just so I could get back to reading. 😂 That’s how you know a book has you hooked! Great job! I can absolutely see a Book 2—and honestly, a whole series—with the world-building that’s been established here. I completely fell in love with Drake over the course of the book, and I honestly didn’t expect to! Arrogant Alpha... Isolde? She is a *very* different kind of love interest, and I loved it. Ruthless in all the best ways. The literary references were spot-on, and the humor was wonderfully dark, twisted, and hilarious. Exactly the kind of humor that had me grinning while wondering if I should be concerned. 😂 Definitely a five-star read for me! I thought it was over but I was wrong! It's complete now and the ending... Totally worth coming back for it!"
A Captivating Slow Burn of Instinct, Defiance, and Choice
" Twelve chapters into Ogre Snow and Puss, and I’m genuinely impressed by how much this story has already managed to establish. The world-building is one of its strongest points. The hierarchy, social norms, and biological dynamics surrounding alphas and omegas are introduced naturally without overwhelming the reader. You learn about the world through the characters and their experiences, which makes it feel immersive rather than like an information dump. Drake and Isolde are definitely the heart of the story for me. Their cat-and-mouse dynamic is frustrating in the best possible way. They aren’t rushing into anything; instead, their constant irritation, arguments, and growing curiosity allow their chemistry to develop naturally. They challenge each other while slowly breaking through each other’s walls, and I genuinely love watching it unfold. What stands out most to me is Drake’s restraint. He has the social position, instincts, and power to make things much easier for himself, yet he doesn’t want an obedient or submissive version of Isolde. Even when that version of her is right in front of him, he still wants the real Isolde the savage, defiant woman who drives him completely crazy. There’s something incredibly beautiful about that choice, and I love seeing his possessiveness gradually develop into something that feels much closer to genuine love. The emotional storyline surrounding Isolde’s altered state was also heartbreaking. It almost feels like Drake has to fall for her all over again while desperately waiting for the woman he actually knows to return. His struggle adds another layer to their relationship and makes his feelings feel much deeper than simple instinct. The dialogue and action are also highlights. The conversations have personality and tension, while the action scenes use strong verbs and clear descriptions that keep everything moving without becoming confusing. Since the story is only twelve chapters in, I don’t have any major dislikes. If I had to choose one thing to improve, I’d love to see more development of the secondary characters and the wider society as the story progresses. The main characters are already so compelling that I’m curious to know more about the people and forces surrounding them. Who I’d Recommend It To? I’d recommend Ogre Snow and Puss to readers who enjoy slow-burn romance, cat-and-mouse relationships, omegaverse/paranormal dynamics, strong character chemistry, and stories where instinct clashes with personal choice. If you enjoy couples who spend as much time frustrating each other as they do falling for each other, Drake and Isolde are definitely worth following. I’d especially recommend this to readers who appreciate romances that take their time and allow attraction and emotional attachment to develop naturally. I am excited to see where Drake and Isolde go from here. And my apologies if this is too long but I got drawn into this work of fiction😭 Kudos to the author you’ve created something seriously compelling. I’ll definitely be waiting for the next update!"
