"J'ai beaucoup apprécié cette lecture. L'intrigue est bonne, les personnages sont intéressants et intriguants, et l'histoire se déroule de façon limpide. Cependant, je suis perturbée par le fait que ''le lien'' soit la seule caractéristique lycantrope dans ce roman et que l'hybridation de l'héroïne ne soit pas exploitée. D'ailleurs, hybride de loup garou et de quoi d'autre ? Qui est son père ? Dans ce roman, le côté hybride n'a pas plus de relief et d'importance que le métissage dans notre société... C'est dommage. Mais bon, en dehors de ça, l'histoire est bonne donc je vous remercie de nous l'avoir partagée. "

Hard characters to want to read
"The story itself is interesting, slow moving, but good intrigue. But it is very frustrating that this is supposedly a wolf/lycan story and yet there are no transformations. The only part of the story that fits that is the Bond. Makes the whole wolf thing be an unnecessary and under used writing artifact rather than a cornerstone of the story. Also, the two main characters... imagine Mary from Dowton Abbey talking to the male version of herself. Very flat affects at all times. And since it’s from a first person perspective, we know their thoughts are almost as emotionless as their actions. Always repeating how they like to be precise and honest in a flat fact way like it’s a deposition rather than a mere inner monologue. It’s very well done, assuming it is what the author wanted, but it does make the characters unlikeable and harder to read. The supporting characters, like Aldric, however are great. Since we don’t know their thoughts and POV, we can still read them to be super sassy and sarcastic and funny instead of frankly robotic. "
