"I loved how this book exemplifies emotions we all have. The plot is simple but sweet. It's hard not to fall in love with the main characters. Author does a great job of explaining why the characters do what they do and feel what they feel. Would recommend anyone looking for a low spice mxm romance."

"What a wonderful MM debut. There is something special about stories where two people have so much history between them that even their anger carries traces of how much they once meant to each other, and Boys Don't Cry captures that beautifully. River and Aiden aren't simply two boys who don't get along. They were best friends once, inseparable, until everything suddenly fell apart—and River never even got to know why. That alone made me want to keep reading. There are years of unanswered questions, hurt feelings, stubbornness and everything neither of them knows how to say. Then they are thrown back together for an entire summer, and slowly, underneath all that rivalry, you begin to see glimpses of what used to be there—and perhaps what never really disappeared in the first place. I especially love that this story doesn't need to rush. The slow burn works because you have time to become invested in River and Aiden, their past, and all those complicated emotions standing between them. So when that line between rivalry and something entirely different finally begins to shift, it actually means something. Their romance feels sweet, vulnerable and wonderfully genuine. At its heart, though, I think this is also a story about being chosen. About second chances, forgiveness, first love, and finding your way back to someone when there are years of hurt to overcome. There is something incredibly tender about that. Knowing that Boys Don't Cry is the author's MM debut made me appreciate it even more. What a beautiful introduction to the genre. The characters and their relationship are treated with so much warmth and heart, and I sincerely hope this is only the beginning. I would absolutely love to see this author write many more MM stories in the future because I will happily be there to read them. Sweet, heartfelt, romantic and full of feeling. A truly lovely slow-burn romance and a perfect MM debut. ❤️ "
