First 4 Chapters!

This read like a published dystopian novel and if it isn't a paperback or hardcover soon, I'm going to be upset. The world forming is great. With Damien's injuries in the first chapter, it kind of feels like you are discovering his world with him as he tries to make sense of things anew. I am intrigued. I want to know more, but I also kind of am not in a hurry for the story to move along, if that makes any sense? I love that there is no outright romance straight off the bat, and the way this story is written really makes you curious to find out more. I have a few guesses on what exactly happened to Damien and I'm definitely sticking around to find out :)

Pleasantly Unexpected!

This story was completely unexpected and I am so happy it was!
The title really had me expecting just another chick lit romance with one dimensional characters. I was super stoked to have found that I guessed wrong.
Paris is likable and relatable straight off the bat. Her voice is realistically written, exactly the way a teenage girl's thoughts would be expected to be. I love how her character grew and changed, and how it was paced so well that it did not seem like it was being rushed or pushed all together. I love how subtly the writer has injected teenage jealousies, possessiveness and recognition of elements of toxicity into the story line as well as remove Paris' rose coloured glasses as her relationship with Fabian grew. Super major points for developing the relationship between Anastasia and Paris! So here for girl friendships developing independently of boyfriends :) Reading this book is a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon! With some chocolate covered doughnuts of course :)

Great Take

It's not an absolutely unique beginning, but in this day and age, that would be hard to find. The language, writing style is great. Very rarely am I able to completely just delve completely in the story because I am so often held back by the style of writing. This was definitely one of those times. I am thankful you empowered Eleanor, formerly so quiet, in the second chapter. It may be a personal preference but I am a sucker for quiet female main character's who reach boiling point and actually react, instead of pushing it all the way back down. Extra points for making Max so triggering, I wanted to punch him too because of what he said about Simon.
In paragraph 13 on your first chapter, there seems to be an incomplete sentence that looks like a typo.
Overall, I would definitely come back to reading this after this review. I'd like to see where Eleanor ends up :)
