In a league all his own...

Where do I begin. The Law of Beasts has literally changed how I view vampires. I am a huge fan of True Blood and an avid reader of everything Anne Rice, but this book has presented something that has never been done and it took me by surprise. What's interesting is that the protagonist, Alicia Chay, struggles with religion and spirituality. Whereas I'm used to people turning on their families and God for eternity in the darkness, this author has done the opposite. Alicia has lived four thousand years as a twenty-five year old that kills anyone that harms or endangers animals, yet she has turned her back on the darkness to pursue Christ. Wow and wow. The way it all unfolds is spell bounding. The more Alicia believes in Christ, the more human she becomes. My God. That hit me right between the eyes. The action scenes are absolutely mindboggling. The fight in the church blew me freaking mind. His ability to paint pictures in your head is unmatched. I adored this read and I feel like there is going to be a part 2 with the way it ended, a twist that took my breath away. I don't know who Dapharoah69 is, but he has a new fan for life and I'm looking forward t other musings. Wow and wow. I put him up there with Stephanie Meyer and JK Rowling, he's outstanding! recommend this book to anyone that want something fresh, original and different.
