Battle of Wills

Excellent read, beautifully written with intriguing characters, compelling story line, historically accurate setting and wonderful pace. The author has a gift of description of the environment through which her characters are passing, giving the reader the sense of sharing their adventures, and the weaving around of the story line through centuries of interaction. Very clever. One learns something about history here and feels an appreciation for the protagonists who have to reconcile the past with the future.
