A Charming Heroine and Dragons, what could be better?

This story was everything a reader could want in an erotic fantasy with next level writing composition. For me, it was like my favorite aspects of ten great stories combined into a magically steamy whirlwind.
Here's the specifics... A dignified, intelligent heroine who maintains her humanity after suffering years of slavery; a prince, bound to a dragon, who also maintains his dignity, although against different threats; intense sexual experiences that never feel arbitrary and actually help develop the characters; a plot outside of expectations that remains believable and intriguing; and, last to be mentioned, a descriptive and whimsical author's voice. There may be small grammatical or word selection errors, but it's not the final draft, and it's already amazing. Worth the read.

So good...

This series is haunting. There is no way to describe the excellence of the writing. Yes, minimal misspellings, but any reader could fix them in his or her head, and they are getting the story of the decade.

Suspense-filled and steamy

This story is not a werewolf-trope story. This novel pulls the reader through the emotional intensity of gritty noir, without any of the grit or the confusion common to that style. It's just really well-written! Personally, a limited amount of spelling errors in compared to this author's limitless ability is nothing that should keep you away.

Good, but Unfinished

This story is great, but it is probably worth just going to Amazon and purchasing the finished copy. This version is a hook to get you there anyways.

Excellent Suspense/Horror

This series is truly masterful at building suspense. The author does a wonderful job with developing connections between the characters and the reader, even with secondary characters. In all honesty, I think Joseph Stone is a name that will eventually become well-known in the horror novelist genre. Can't wait for the next installment.

This book is beyond words

Wow... Just... wow. Imagine the poignant inner dialogue of a Judy Blume novel amped up on word magic. This author performs miracles with words.

Amazing

The writing is positively spell-binding. The reader gets lost in this world. The Princes are just as arrogant and infuriating as the traditional idea of Fae. I'm just as angry and intrigued by them as the girls!

Great Characters and Relationships

So many werewolf stories rely on the kidnapping trope, or something similar, to create drama. This story doesn't. The drama comes from a relationship changing shape and growing into something beautiful. Life is happening and some of it is dramatic, but truly the story is based around how two young people learn to see each other differently and grow into adults. The characters are engaging, yet realistic. The story is sweetly enjoyable!

Surprisingly wonderful!

This was a great story. You fall in love with the characters. The story flows beautifully, and I can recommend it without reservations. There was a charm to the very "British"-ness of the author's world. By that, I don't mean it had stereotypical characterizations. Each of the characters had depth. This was just a great story that had a poetic ode to England playing subtly in the background. It made me want to visit.

Charming, Hilarious, Sexy and Empowering

This story is perfect. It's raunchy, yet with a twisted version of class. It's hilarious. A reader is drawn deftly into this world, coughing glitter with this perfectly flawed heroine and giggling at the not so PG conversations ;)

Great Mate Book

The characters were thoughtful and fleshed out. The storyline was handled deftly. The genre of werewolf mate stories is very cliche, yet this story is fresh and intriguing. I really enjoyed it!

Great Story

I read rejection stories voraciously, but I'm never truly satisfied by them. The girls are always trying to prove something or the plots are predictable. I'm not against a predictable plot, but there has to be more. This book is more. The heroine is strong and dignified. She is a full character with depth and maturity. I liked how the story progressed, and I liked how it ended. All in all, worth the read.

No complaints! Waiting for the next update!

This book is at a level so much higher than any I expected to find on here. The story is a true epic and develops majestically. I think the author may choose to make a few changes after everything is said and done, but she doesn't need to change anything. The writing and plot stand well on their own.

Great!!

I want to read more. I want to be a part of every moment the two main characters spend together. I want to help with homework and filing. This entire world sucks a reader in and brings them home... a much more exciting home.

Well-timed, original and hot

Shifter romance is my guilty pleasure, but at heart, I love a great novel. This book is really well-written. The story flows and the growing romance teases. The development of the plot is full of intrigue and paced nicely. I enjoyed the characters. They had depth and nobility. This is a great book!

Fun, erotic romp with minimal conflict

The story was light-hearted fun and romance. There were some mild uses of the wrong words in places, like "homely" instead of "homey", but all in all, the punctuation and grammar were decent. The writer's style flows well. The reader connects emotionally with the characters. The only criticism I could give is any conflict is resolved too quickly for it to give depth to the story... but that could be exactly what the reader needs.
