Loved it

Grace’s inner monologue is hysterical and spot on for someone having a quarter life crisis. This author has an incredible writing style. I read this story in one sitting and will definitely check out their other work!

Loving it so far

This review covers the first five chapters of the story. I can't wait for more chapters to be posted, especially since the last one left off on a cliffhanger! I love, love, love Elizabeth. She's relatable and so REAL. The author does an amazing job portraying her mixed emotions about her novel being rejected. Chapter two is an absolute gem; love me a bad date story.

Amazing

This review covers the prologue through chapter 3. I'll add to it as I continue reading.

I would give the writing style 6/5 stars if I could. The scenes come to life with how much detail the author includes, not just about the physical aspects of the story, but also the emotions felt by the characters.

The plot is unique and gripping, and the characters are complex from the very beginning. Their relationships and personalities don't fall into any common tropes or clichés. This is appealing to readers like me who are very picky when it comes to fantasy books.

My only suggestion would be to break up the chapters into shorter segments, but this doesn't detract from the story at all.

Unique Stories

Each of the one-shot narrators has a distinct voice. The plots are all unique, and I love that #4 is LGBT+. Although #3 wasn't for me, it seems like most other readers enjoyed it based on the reviews, and I enjoyed the other three chapters.

There were a few spelling errors but nothing too noticeable or that detracted from the story. One suggestion I have would be to break up the paragraphs a bit more.

I hope the author continues adding onto this book!

starts off creepy and ends WAY creepy

Happily Ever After? gave me chills. I love stories with unreliable narrators (kind of an understatement with this guy) where you're left wondering what's real and what isn't. That's exactly what this story does. Incredibly well done.

I'll definitely be checking out this author's additional works. I love their writing style.

Hysterical

Witty with lots of puns and plays on words. Love the author’s snarky sense of humor. The chapters for the states I’ve lived in are relatable. I’d recommend this to any American looking for a laugh at their home states.

Characters

Currently reading on WattPad but I wanted to leave a review here when it popped up on my feed! KID is amazing so far, and all credit goes to the characters and their development.

First of all, Kid is one of the best narrators ever. He’s hysterical, and his way of seeing the world is somehow refreshing, despite 90% of his thoughts being on drugs and sex. Second, I love how his and Han’s development is portrayed. There are ups and downs, which makes it realistic.

I rarely enjoy books with main characters I can’t relate to, so I wasn’t sure how much I’d like KID, but I love it. I’ve never felt so connected to characters I have nothing in common with. Can’t wait for the next chapter! 💙

More than a love story

I read this story on WattPad and had to leave a review here because it was such an incredible novel. A Sliver of Infinite is raw, emotional, heartbreaking, and beautiful. Not only is it one of the best romances on Inkitt/WP, it also deals with topics past love. It gives an honest look at mental illness and its effects on those who suffer from it and their loved ones. This story will have you contemplating the meaning of life. I cannot recommend it more highly.

Beautiful story!

Co-Parenting was full of twists and turns that made it impossible to put down. I was never able to predict what was going to happen next, whether it was with the pregnancy or Delia’s love life. I liked that this was a romance but still focused on the character growth of the protagonist.

Spoilers ahead! Two things I would have loved to see more of are the chemistry between Rob and Delia and what happens after Henry is born. I’m dying to know if Hank and Rob mend their relationship.

I highly recommend this book to romance or chicklit fans. It’s fast-paced, emotional, and funny with a great plot and zero grammatical issues. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story!

Love

I absolutely adore the Players series, and Partners is no exception. Seeing the character growth in Scarlett and Toren over the course of the three stories has been incredible. The love between them leaps off the page. Their journey has been messy and bumpy, and that just makes readers all the more invested in their happiness and development. I can’t help but feel personally attached to the characters!

Not to mention, the supporting cast is fan-freaking-tastic. Adrien, of course, is one of the greatest characters of all time, but everyone else is wonderful and contributes to the story in their own way too (Thor included 😂).

Thank you for sharing yet another amazing story! ❤️

Unique Characters, Unique Story

Whispered Desires was unpredictable in a way that made sense with the plot and main characters' personalities, which are well developed and complex. There are twists and turns, but none of them were thrown in for shock value; that's just how Kilian and Jas are (and why we love them). The story is steamy, emotional, and funny. This author has a rare talent for writing a story that touches on every possible emotion, often within the same chapter.

I love the theme of female empowerment throughout the story, especially towards the end. This is a modern love story with a refreshing ending that isn't too common in romance novels. It shows how Mila and Hayden are happiest with growing their family, but Kilian and Jas are happiest just the two of them, and both are happy endings. There aren't too many childfree couples in the genre, so I loved, loved, loved reading from the perspective of a character who had her mind set on no kids from the very beginning.

I'd recommend this story to any romance fan. I would also suggest reading Crossing Lines first because it will help readers appreciate the side characters (Mila and Hayden) more, but it isn't necessary.

An Absolute Gem

I just finished this story on WattPad but wanted to post a review here because it's one of my favorite books I've read on Inkitt/WattPad. In the Air is laugh-out-loud funny. The part about the fake customer service account had me snorting. The depictions of different cities are authentic and hysterical. I loved Adrienne from the beginning - her inner thoughts and way of seeing the world (literally and figuratively) are refreshing and so, so entertaining to read. She and Magnus are perfect for each other.

I would recommend In the Air to any romance fan. Just don't read chapter 24 in public because you will laugh out loud and embarrass yourself.

Amazing!

I read this book on WattPad and just saw it here, and I had to leave a review because it’s AMAZING and I highly recommend it. Mia is a strong, independent, yet flawed protagonist, and I was rooting for Linc throughout the story. His depression is portrayed accurately. Many books only show the sadness aspect of depression, but Crossroads depicts everything from the physical to the mental effects.

This book has everything. Romance, heartbreak, family drama, friendship. I absolutely love it.

Emotional

Disclaimer: I’m keeping specifics out of the review because I don’t want anyone reading to be triggered.

Gone Girl is an emotional story that shows what trauma does to a person physically and mentally. The way Veronica responds to her trauma is realistic and heartbreaking. The author is talented at describing emotion in a way that makes the reader feel it along with the characters.

One tiny tip - maybe bold the words indicating that there was a time lapse (e.g., “the next day”). It blended in with the other text, so I think holding or doing a section break would help with clarity.

5/5 would read again

I really enjoyed this story and the author's writing style. The author exemplifies "show, don't tell," especially when it comes to displaying the characters' emotions. The scene in one of the earlier chapters where Loreina was crying and throwing bottles in the shower stuck with me. Sometimes, it was tough to tell who was speaking in the dialogue, but other than that, the punctuation/grammar is strong.

I highly recommend Just Don't Say Love! It's one of the best books I've read on Inkitt.

Well-written characters

Charisse is an incredibly written character. I love how she is portrayed as a survivor, but her trauma isn’t erased. She comes across as a very authentic character, especially when it comes to her emotions. This author has a powerful writing style and is talented at building mystery. I was hooked from the beginning, and now I’m dying to know Joshua/Ken’s story.

One thing I would have liked to see was more background on Charisse and Joshua’s connection. I felt like it materialized very quickly. However, love at first sight is common for the genre, so that could just be personal preference.

I’m looking forward to reading more!

Strong Story & MC

Bad Blood is engaging from the beginning. I love when stories are action-packed from the start, and this is definitely the case with Bad Blood. The dialogue is realistic and intense. I like how the author shows us different characters' perspectives. It makes for a dynamic read. Aurora is a fantastic main character. She's strong, calculating, and intelligent, but she also has flaws, giving the opportunity for character development over the course of the story.

I have two small points of feedback. This might be personal preference, but I find it a little hard to follow when most characters' names start with the same letter. I noticed that some commas are missing (nothing a beta reader can't help with!).

Overall, this is a 5/5 story, and I'm excited to read more chapters once they're posted.

Worldbuilding

The author does a great job balancing relatability and worldbuilding. Saffire's struggles with her hair and her nervousness about taking on her new responsibilities are easy to relate to, even though they're taking place in a world that functions completely differently from our own. The author teaches us about the world at a good pace; there isn't an information dump, but they give enough background that we're prepared for the next scene.

2020s Love Story

I like how this story mentions teaching classes via Zoom. It's tough to write stories set last year/this year because of the way COVID changed the world, but the author does a great job acknowledging the pandemic without making it a focus of the chapters. The story is engaging and fast-paced. I'd love to learn more about the main character's past (and what's going on with her fiancé).
