Joss Whedon Level Good

This book is snappy and fun, with a mischievous lead character who problem solves with her whit. The action is fast pace and tense, and feels like being caught up in a real game show. The supporting characters feel like real people interacting with each other as opposed to stiff cardboard cutouts on a bad ABC drama, LOL. Perfect grammar. All in all, this is a book worth reading. I'd pay money to read more of this author's work.

Worth the Read

You write an engaging story, and your use of religious imagery is creative and fresh. I enjoyed your speculation on the outcome of various religions.
As a Bible Student, I’m still as confident as ever that the second coming will bring about the salvation of all mankind, and every person who ever lived will enjoy immortality in Paradise. However, your bleak vision of the future is fun to read all the same.
Good work, Greg.

Short, Profound

This brief yet moving story hits all of the emotional beats. It made me cry but also it encapsulates the human spirit.
Well done!

A True Sequel

This novel continues the thrilling narrative we’ve been introduced to in the first, but now the stakes are higher the mood is darker, and I feel anxiety for the protagonist. Amazing sequel!

A Hit in the Making

This book is engaging, exciting, and sensual. Every detail created a 3D picture in my head of the scenery and the action, and the characters were gripping and empathetic as well as flawed. (Empathetic minus the attempted rape part).
One thing though, there is an excessive use of exclamation marks. But this does not hurt the narrative. I love it!

Original

This book is brimming with creativity and originality. It’s exciting, and wildly entertaining. It needs editing. There are some sentences that should be worded better. But this does not detract from the reading experience. Give it a go!

Engaging, Enthralling

This novel demonstrates that even amateur writers (amateur meaning unpaid and less known, not less talented) can write narratives that capture an audience, and tell a story that’s worth reading. Well done!

(Side note: It’s purely by coincidence that we both wrote a story called The Mountain King, and that our main character is a variation of the name Aleya (Aliya). This is not a plug for my book, I just don’t want to raise alarms if you were to find out about mine. They’re two completely different stories😳)

First Page Hook

Modern Fantasy At Its Finest

An inventive blend of the real modern world and Avatar the Last Airbender. I didn't know that's what I wanted until now! This story has a sort of glow to it. The writer has heart and she shows it through her story and characters, even in the simple descriptions of their day to day life. When the stakes raise, you can feel the affect it has on the characters. Not to mention, the romance was cute as hell :)

I'm Down For This!

I'm a sucker for love triangles. Especially the ones where the girl thinks she's met the love of her life until a wild card mystery boy comes in and sweeps her off her feet. Is that weird to say? I don't care! This story is top notch-- 10/10.

Whoa!

I love this book. Instead of assaulting the reader with bloated adjectives and hammy dialogue, the author opens in a clever way, by creating a scene with nouns and verbs. It felt like having a fully developed world come to life in front of me. The story continues to grip its reader through imagery, always taking care to use the right words.
On a side note, the author may want to comb over the story and correct typos. They have no bearing on the writer's skills at story telling, and they do not detract from the narrative. All the same, it's good to have a script without technical errors.
I can't wait to read more!

Catching lightning in a bottle

Just like your previous story, it is well written and engaging. What sets it apart is its darker, less friendly depiction of South Africa than was Some Picnic! This can be thought of as the yang to the others yang— quite different, but just as good.

Excellent

You’re a gifted writer who knows how to enthrall a reader with your story telling abilities. Your vivid description of the South African region through Ian’s eye makes the reader feel like he is really there. Plus the story was gripping and satisfying. Keep it up!
