A Fresh Take
'Escape' is a very fresh take on the normal alien/human acquisition scenario. I really enjoyed the piece, and would love to read more if the flash develops into something longer. Very nice pluck mixed in with the sci-fi horror of the tale! An eye for an eye... or two for six, as it were. Very nicely done, N_DeGennaro!

I've read quite a few of Lee's flash pieces lately, and I have to say I've not only been impressed by the structure of the pieces, but by the diversity of topics. He has a natural talent for bringing different styles, and different voices, to life. "The Kids of Rock Hill" is no exception. This is a great example of flash fiction that tells a voluminous story within a minimal number of words that carry quite an emotional wallop!
