"I just read straight through this story and it made me sick. I wanted to kill Selene and his mother. How could she put up with them for 23 yrs? Her husband what an ass it made him to be blind,selfish and stupid with the other so called women. Why on New Year’s Eve when she left the party and cried did he stand outside of door practically admitting to making stupid mistakes and he was so sorry.Then only to find out Seline invited herself to all of these trips and planted the bra ,so did they really have an affair? Although Amelia was this strong intelligent,loving mother how could she just sit back and let all of this go on and on like a martyr? This was just so sad , it broke my heart. I guess you were trying to get the point across to value what you have now cause you will miss it when it’s gone. But she just was trashed,waiting like a puppy to be noticed and loved so weak"

The writer perfectly reveals every detail of the story; each chapter is important to follow the plot, it definitely doesn't bore you and is very good to read in my free time."

Unusual
"What an unusual story, and a very different point of view, can't help hating everyone that put Amelia down though, then acted all contrite and sorry when they found out she was dead, if they'd only given her one ounce on the thought and compassion she would still be there. Her husband and kids are the worst out of all of this, they were her family yet they treated her so coldly, she did everything and they're only just now realising how they treated her when she's not there to do it all for them. And as for the rest of them, well. I will say though it was an interesting story, just shows you how important it is to be nice and decent to people while they're around, not leave it until they're dead and you don't get the chance."

But I can’t lie… I didn’t enjoy the experience, not because the book was bad, but because it made me so frustrated😤😖. Amelia didn’t deserve what she went through after marrying Matthew. He didn’t love her, and neither did the kids, and there’s no excuse for that🥺. Watching them regret their actions after more than 20 years of treating her like dirt now that she's dead just made me angry🙄😒. I hated how everyone blamed others for what they did to her😡😦. And Amelia🥺… she was such an educated, capable woman. It broke me to see her allow that kind of treatment for so long😒. So yes, the story was written beautifully, but emotionally? It left me upset, not because it was bad, but because it hit too real."

"Ok I’m just trying to finish this book because I want to see the demise of everyone I absolutely hate in this book! The weak main character just irritates me I wish she was strong enough to leave. The way this was written back and forth makes me angry but I see the perspective of how she sees her crappy life. I just hope the ending has closure for the main character because that will make me happy. "
