Reading through the prologue and chapter one of the excerpt, i was convinced he is a writer who has his own original style. The themes of the book are areas i could rate with as an African reader. He exposed corruption and the reward that followed for Abu. The theme of corruption was easy to pick right from the prologue. Whilst he kept the suspense of what acts of corruption took place and the role Abu placed. To me that's very unique. Then he practically made the events too vivid with his descriptions that i felt i was right at the point it all happened.
