Things were looking up for me. I had a family that cared, my mental health was improving, and I had faith that everything was going to work out. Take note of the past tense. With my father getting out of prison early, everything that I've worked so hard to overcome floods back like a giant tidal wave. I barely survived the last tsunami. Usually takes experience to seek to depict the specific, ultimate kind of tragedy that is a child's bad/lacking--or entirely absent--family, school staff, CPS and regional establishments, and adult figures as a whole, so hugs if you're a fellow survivor.
