"Missing portions of narrative, spelling and the writing style ebbing in and out of first person/main character - seems a little distracting. Otherwise, the story itself is good and the story world & characters established are good too. The mer king’s character is not quite connected, too disjointed, and seems too bipolar. Doesn’t quite make sense as yet. "

The Mer King seems like a psycho and her guards seem to care for her more than he does and any ruler who in his own arrogance kills his subjects for questioning him is no ruler. Especially not by boiling him alive in front of the girl you just converted against her will! What an asshat! It doesn’t matter how handsome he is!"
