Something Seems Wrong Here
A young man with dark brown hair and an ahoge had been given the title ultimate storyteller, when the 77 class had asked him to tell them a story, and he started. ¨This is a tale of a long time ago. Where something that was meant to end happily, ended up in a mistake that might have ruined many lives. The story starts with a young boy named Shuichi and his caring but mysterious uncle. Shuichi was only three, but it seemed like his life was going to take a mystical and magical turn. It didn´t end up that way. Shuichi didn´t know much at the time, but he did wonder why his parents had abandoned him to take other lives. His uncle didn´t talk about it much, but the little boy could tell it bothered him. So, you might imagine neither were in the best spirits when they passed out in a storm and found themselves in the royal palace. Though the man was about to take his nephew and leave, both detective and child were tired of traveling, and king Leon and queen Sayaka suggested they stay a while. Shuichi grew to love his new life in the palace after the first few weeks, and grew very close to their youngest child, Kaede. Shuichi and Kaede had no idea of this at the time, but after only two weeks of being friends, both of them gained a very unique imprint on there respective hands. Shuichi had a piano on his, and Kaede had a microfying glass on hers. Both Shuichi´s uncle and Kaede´s parents were surprised, as none of them had seen a soulmate mark come that early before. There was a grand party, and the court psycic Hiro professied that their love would be something magical, but then saw something in Shuichi´s future that terrified him and he would not tell anyone the specifics. The very next day, a band of robbers attacked and the brave court detective went after them. He left Shuichi with Leon and Sayaka but the three year old stowed away against his wishes. Soon, the duo found themselves far, far away from the palace and in a very oddly placed desert wasteland. Finally, the uncle and nephew found a very strange and beautiful and yet threatening and horrifying tower. A very strange and yet seemingly kind woman offered them temporary sanctuary and they agreed, not knowing Junko was never planning on them leaving.¨
12 YEARS LATER
Shuichi woke up that day feeling like everything was going to be exactly the same as his normal life, but little did he know life would be going in a totally different direction. Shuichi shook his bleary eyes and looked around at the small room he grew up in. It looked at exactly the same, though this was not the first time he would question why there were ten beds in the room when out of five minors, he had his own room. Though Shuichi would sometimes be settled with the mediocraty that was his life, there was always something that bugged him about it, like the fact he could never see what the outside world looked at despite all the windows he looked out of, and the weird amount of beds. However, at the moment he couldn´t really focus on all of this, since he had a lot of chores to do. It seemed it was Junko´s purpose to make him too busy to figure out what was really going on. Shuichi´s uncle tried to help the kids with there chores, but he was getting older, and his health was failing, so there wasn´t all that much he could do. As Shuichi tried to hurry with his work however, he had to stop for a second to prevent Kokichi from tormenting Kaito. As far as the aspiring detective knew, Kaito was the oldest child here, and the first kidnapped by Junko. And as Shuichi and everyone else knew, Kaito wanted out more than any of them. Kaito had talked endlessly to Shuichi and there two other adopted siblings about going to space, and they knew how important it was to him. Which was why Shuichi was mad at the purple haired imp that despite being a year older, was almost a head shorter than Shuichi. No one was really sure why Kokichi was here, and he was treated much better than Shuichi and his siblings in all but blood. Instead of being miserable, he made his day making Kaito miserable, and making everyone else but Junko mad at him. ¨Kokichi what are you doing now?!¨ Shuichi didn´t normally get mad, but it looked like Kokichi was once again winding Kaito up, which would get the purple haired hopeful astronaut in trouble with Junko again. ¨Oh I was just showing this doofus how to really get the job done.¨ Kokichi smirked and Shuichi hoped beyond hope that Kaito didn´t snap and punch Kokichi in the face, because as satisfying as that would be, Kaito was already on thin ice with Junko. ¨Can you excuse us?¨ Shuichi asked and started helping Kaito with his chores, which was scrubbing all the floors in all 27 rooms of the tower. Yeesh. Shuichi knew Junko was a cruel person, but it seemed she and Kokichi had it in for Kaito. Shuichi knew none of his chores were THAT brutal, though most of them were still pretty bad. Though it was frustrating as the two of them had to walk for over an hour to get the job done, Shuichi was at least relieved that Kaito wasn´t doing the job alone. As they went back over the rooms though, it kind of disturbed Shuichi to see at least 5 other seemingly unused and dusty rooms, all of them with about ten beds each. Shuichi had already started to believe something might be up with this strange tower, but this confirmed it. There was definitely something sinister going on with Junko, and Shuichi was going to find out what it was. After helping Kaito and the overly optimistic guy told Shuichi to go check on the others while he finished his chores, Shuichi went to see how his other siblings were dealing. Shuichi loved both of his little siblings, both of whom were blissfully innocent of anything immoral that might be happening under their noses. Himiko was a sweet, kind of lazy 13 year old girl who believed she was a mage and wasn´t afraid to tell anyone about it, and Gonta was a lovable 10 year old giant who was probably the most innocent being Shuichi had ever encountered. As Shuichi had fun with his siblings however, there were certain unsettling things he just couldn´t shake from his mind. Like how he couldn´t at all really remember his life before he was living here, or the faded, almost non-existent imprint of a piano on his hand. Though Shuichi couldn´t really place it, he definitely knew. Something was clearly wrong.
