Chapter 1
Madison
“Mommy get up” Gabbi shook me awake.
“Hey baby, what’s wrong?”
“I’m hungry” she pouted.
“Let’s go make you some food”
She held my hand and we walked to the kitchen. Gabbi climbed onto the stool as i took out everything i needed to make pancakes. I started making her pancakes while she sat with her ipad and played games.
I guess now’s the right time to introduce myself? No?
I’m Madison Porter and I’m 26 years of age with long brown hair and hazel eyes.
I’m a mom to a beautiful baby girl Gabbi Porter, who has my brown hair , blue eyes and the most adorable dimples ! She is 6 years of age :)
She got her eye colour by her dad ...who we will not mention from here on...
“Mommy can i have fruit?”
“Yeah sure” i handed her a bowl of fruit and put her pancakes in front of her and she started eating.
“Mommy, can we go shopping pretty please” she begged giving me the puppy dog eyes.
“Sure, what do you want to buy?”
“Cars, cars and more cars”
“Why do you love cars so much?”
“They make me feel like a giant”
“C’mon let’s get you dressed” I grabbed her hand as she led me to her bedroom.
“What have you been eating at aunt raven’s?”
“Fruit and chocolate cake” she giggled.
“Who gave you chocolate cake?” i sat her on the bed.
“Aunt raven”
“Did she give it or did you take it?”
“A bit of both”
“Gabbi”
“Mommy” she gave me an innocent smile.
“You shouldn’t steal someone’s cake”
“Aunt raven, had a lot of cake and i was trying to help get rid of it since it made her puke”
“Does she know you took the cake?”
“A bit of both”
“You are truly your daddy’s child” i sighed as i started looking through her closet for something to wear. Their love for chocolate cake is amazing.
“Where is daddy?” i walked right into that one. fuck
“He went on a trip” I couldn’t think of anything else. Sue me.
“Okay, can i pick my outfit?” thank god my child doesn’t really badger.
“This is new”
“Please?”
“Fine, go ahead” i sat on her bed as she rummaged though her closet.
“I found a blue dress”
“I don’t remember buying this”
“So shoes?” She ran to her shoes and took a pair of air forces.
“I’ll run you bath” i went to her bathroom and ran her a bath. She came in and put her outfit on the counter.
“Is aunt raven going to come over again?”
“Okay, can i have chocolate cake after school”
“If you do your homework and clean your room then yes”
“Yay” she ran to hug me making me chuckle.
“I love you, baby” i kissed her forehead.
“I love you, mommy” she put her tiny hand on my cheek.
“Time for your bath” I checked the water, she got in and i sat on a chair in the corner of the bathroom.
“Mom it’s fine ,you can go get ready”
“You going to be okay?”
“Yes, i will shout if i need anything”
“Okay baby”
I went to my room and took a quick shower before i got dressed. I sat down at my dresser, left my hair loose and put on my make up. When i was done, i headed back to gabbi’s room when she walked out with a long towel around her body and her curly brown locks soaking wet.
I went into the bathroom and saw water everywhere. I turned to see gabbi smiling at me innocently. “Were you fighting the lockness monster in there?”
“It ws crazy” I grabbed her clothes from the counter, laid it on the bed and watched as she wobbled over to me. “You are so cute”
“I know” i rolled my eyes and chuckled. i dried her off, put her dress, socks and shoes on. I put her hair in a cute little bun with fairy clips.
“You look gorgeous baby”
“Thank you, mommy”

I grabbed my keys , my bag and walked downstairs.
“Gabbi, we have to go now”
“Coming” she ran down the stairs.
“I forgot where i put my backpack”
“Gabbi” i sighed, exasperated.
She ran to the living room and i sighed as i looked at the time. We are going to be late.
My phone rang and i saw Damon’s name popped up. Great.
“Hey Damon” i answered his FaceTime.
“I’m waiting in your office and you are not here”
“Gabbi, forgot where she put her bag so i’m going to be a little late”
“Her bag is in the closet under the staircase”
“How did you know that?”
“Let’s just say it happened more than once”
“I found it” Gabbi yelled.
“I’ll be there in a few” we disconnected.
Gabbi and i walked out of the house and got into the car and drove to her school. “So have you made any new friends recently?”
“Jake and candle became friends so i’m all alone”
“Whose candle?”
“The new girl, Jake has a big crush on her”
“You should branch out and make new friends”
“How?”
“Be nice to everyone in class and just start a conversation with someone”
“Okay, i’ll try”
“Okay, love you bye” i stopped at her school and watched as she ran to her teacher.
“Miss Porter” the woman yelled before i could drive off. For fuck’s sake this woman is more annoying than a cat on a calk board.
“Hey, how are you?”
“I’m great, i just wanted to ask if you are coming to the parent meeting”
“Yes of course, my kid comes first and i already sent the letter with Gabbi”
“I was just checking”
“Okay then”
“Will the father be attending this one?”
“Excuse me?”
“She does have a father, correct?” I understand why serial killers be killing people. So fucking annoying.
“How is that any of your business?”
“Well i am Gabbi’s teacher and i need to know”
“I don’t want to curse but who the fuck do you think you are to try and judge me when your husband left you for the dog walker”
