Welcome to this collection of Shorts from a variety of authors. This is a short story event. Each story is a maximum of 3500 words long and romantic disaster themed.

Stories may be removed without notice or published elsewhere at the Author’s discretion. This was a fun exercise and therefore any negative comments will be hidden. RULES FOR THE 2023 EVENT (rules for the next event will be displayed before the 1st chapter of the corresponding section)
✅️Original writing only but Parody and Fan Fic are permitted.
✅️Maximum 3500 words, short story - beginning, middle and end
(the title, POV title, additional info on your other books are not included in the word count)
✅️You may submit up to two entries - they must not follow on from each other/contain the same characters
✅️Must include a Valentines or romantic occasion where disaster hits!
✅️ Bring the laughs - can be any genres, creatures or styles but try to add some humour. Make your readers smile, chuckle or roll on the floor with laughter! Obviously, comedy is subjective and personal but give it your best shot. Dry humour, dark humour, sarcasm, puns, dad jokes, naff pick up lines - the options are endless.
✅️Must be prepared to have work displayed from the 14th of Feb - 28th Feb on Dreame. Please let me know if you are happy for your work to stay up after this (you may withdraw it at any point - just message me).
✅️Entries written in English please
✅️You don’t need to be an author to participate or be on any specific platform.
✅️Submit by 12th of Feburary
❌️ Any scenes of amorous nature must be between fully consenting adults (+18yrs plus)
❌️No beastiality (shifted forms/ aliens are ok)
❌️No info intros ‘My name is...’ ect with the character description and background.
❌️The word ‘smirk/s/ing/ed’ - all forms is banned. There are so many other ways to describe smiles and the looks shared between people.
