Jasmine’s Hideaway
No freedom- this is all that consists of Princess Jasmine’s life. From sun up to sun down her whole life is planned out for her with no say in the matter. She was exhausted from smiling all the time and being miserable within and tonight was her big escape to get out of this kingdom and become more independent. She dimmed her bedroom lights and kept a suitcase under her bed while keeping dark clothes on before crawling into her bed. She turned her body away from her door when her father walked in and kissed her cheek “Goodnight Jasmine”
She shut her eyes right before hearing her door shut behind him. She waited a few minutes before slipping out of the window of her room with her belongings in her hand and about to scale a huge wall. She looked back at her closet where she found a portal into another world that she nearly went into before her father showed up. She sighs before scaling the wall and started climbing down. She heard screams coming behind her and a red fog was approaching and scared her back up the wall she looked back and forth deciding which one would be best to choose.
“Portal is less spooky” she exclaimed before pulling herself back up the wall and into her closet. The portal immediately transported her from her animated world into the human world, however, the human realm she was in was not like the human world the others were in. This curse was getting more and more out of control with the color change and now an uncertainty if Jasmine would be able to return to the animated/human world. She looked around and smiled when she realized that she was not home anymore but she felt different.
She stood inside a small walk-in closet with clothes surrounding her with the light on and saw she was not her typical animated self. “Welp this is new but I do like it” she went to walk out of the closet and get tied up by his robe draped around her feet and she squealed as she face-planted into the door. Matthew Coggins had just gotten into his room from school when he heard the loud thud. His heart jumped inside his chest as he made his way to the closet door and opened the door expecting his sister to jump out to scare him.
As he opened the closet door he saw a gorgeous girl standing in there but his mother walked up to the room saying “I heard a loud thud are you ok?” she was away from his mother's sight and she put a finger over her lips before he shut the closet door to say “I'm fine, just almost tripped over my feet walking into the room” Jasmine sighs seeing he didn't bust her but before he could open the door his mom came up to the room to let him know the plans for the evening.
“Just to give you a heads up I am going out on a date tonight and Brianna is going to the neighbor's house but I made my pizza and cheesy bread for you.” he nods his head “Another Date?” she took a deep breath “I'm sorry, Matthew but it's nice to get out of the house after working from home all day long” he nods “I guess that's true, have fun” she kissed his cheek “Love you” he listened for her car to back out of the garage and finally went to the closet where the stowaway was at.
He opened the closet door “Just who might you be?” he asked the girl hiding in his closet “I’m sorry to intrude on you like this, but I am Princess Jasmine of Agrabah, and would you believe that I appeared in your closet from a different world” she nervously said. His eyes widened and he thought this girl was confused but when he looked at his Disney calendar and saw Jasmine and looked back at her “How? Why? Is this possible?” she nodded “Hard to believe right?” he nodded “Very much so, how did you get here, Jasmine?” He asked.
She went to a hidden passage in his closet that was covered by some clothes and opened up a hatch “This portal has been in my animated room for weeks and it has driven me crazy since I have seen it. Would you like to see it? If it hasn't been destroyed” her comment surprised him “Sure it sounds better than staying here alone. Destroyed? How?” she had a troubled look on her face “Before I jumped into this portal this strange red fog appeared and removed all the pretty scenery in Agrabah” they stepped into the portal not sure what to expect.
When they walked in they saw that this once-animated world was turned into a human world and Jasmine was beyond confused “it's my home but not animated, did this red fog do this to my home?” she was saddened that she even abandoned her home, to begin with. She put her face into her hands and he could hear her crying “Jasmine, it's ok” he put his arm around her “It's not, a princess does not abandon their country when they need her most and that's what I did to Agrabah” she put her head on his shoulder.
“What can I do to help?” he whispered into her ear “If you help me get some answers I will tell my father that I want to marry you. It's clear you seek companionship with your mom always gone.” this empty feeling inside of him could lead him to do something about it “why would you want me anyway?” she smiled “because the moment I looked at you I felt something towards you and you would help me get out of royalty if we got married. My dad could still reign but I for one am tired of it.” he always thought that a life of royalty would be awesome but seeing Jasmine miserable made him think otherwise. “I felt something also when I looked at you and I want to help as much as I can so sure I will help you get some answers” at that time he noticed 5 girls walking around not confused like the rest of the people he was coming across. “Excuse me, ladies can you help us with something?” they turned around and saw Matthew and Jasmine standing there “Can you explain what is going on here? Where is the animated world?”
Snow White answered him quickly “Didn't you see it change? A strange blue fog?” he shook his head “No I am not from the animated world but Jasmine here is and she saw a red fog, not a blue one.” this was odd to them because all of them saw a blue one and he was an actual human? “Wow this curse gets crazier and crazier” Aurora commented “what curse?” he asked her “It seems this world is kidnapping men who are in love and they are under some memory wipe from the research we have done. You aren't in love are you?”
He looked at Jasmine and said “Maybe? Not sure? I do know that I like her” Jasmine smiled at him “I am in the same spot, but I could see myself being in love with you.” Cinderella then said “Well I suppose we are about to find out if it's all men or just love birds” he looked at the girls and saw how this curse has affected them “How long has it been since you saw your loved ones?” Snow white spoke up “Today is day 5 since I have seen Devins's beautiful face”
Cinderella said “Day 4 since I have seen Chester,” Aurora said “Day 3 since I have seen Reggie,” Ariel said Day 2 since I have seen Franklin” Belle finished “Day 1 since Drew disappeared on me and I await the day till I see him again” with all of that he realized that guys were disappearing every day and he wonders if he will be the next one to go. He loved a good mystery and he wonders why other guys are walking around “This is very intriguing, reminds me of a book I read about a few weeks ago”
All the girls looked at him after receiving their first real clue since this whole thing started “Tell us more, please before you leave us” Ariel urged him, and he explained the book as best as he could “In the book this a mythological creature called” Jasmine was beside him and saw blank out into space and kissed his cheek “Don’t leave me, I need you” he closed his eyes and it was almost like he was fighting the urge to leave “This feeling is so strong, they are mermaids” he mustered enough wherewithal to tell them before he was gone in a puff of smoke.
