"this was so good I laughed the whole way through and am so happy to have found this book and would love it if you could write a sequel about the challenges her child faces as have alien and the fact that he is always alienated I will probably come up with the sequel in my head anyway but will never get to write it fully down due to my attention span and the way I think it will be the worst piece. of writing in everyone else's opinion but absolutely brilliant in mine. please write a sequel I would like to know what you think about it. with regards crazyass old souled twelve year old."

"This story begins with the events at Roswell and ends at present day, or there about. The first few chapters set the important ground work for the rest of this fast paced, irreverent, and clever story. Once the ground work is covered the story proceeds at a fast pace, never once bogging down at political rants, or cultural idiocy, or tech awesomeness, yet it touches quickly on all of these. The plot line follows Carrie Player, a modern day linguist and grand-niece of the original intelligence team that covered up the crash of an alien space craft in Roswell NM. The irrevence begins when CIA director Dulles denies and then covers up vital pertinent information for all humanity because it counters his belief in the origin story of the Bible. From Eisenhower to a fictitious-present day president (who is described as a prancing, sashaying, lazy,idiot more concerned with appearance than anything else) they all drop the ball. If it hadn’t been for the original spook who taught his grand niece the alien language and on his death bed told her the truth about the secret language, the world would be well and truly fucked. Carrie Player is the grand niece and her character comes across as completely believable. She was no nonesense but no superhero. Carrie is surrounded by geeks and spooks and her mission is to interact with the aliens on their cataclysmic return to earth in order to save humanity. This is no retelling of that Jodie Foster movie. Carrie completely wings it and ends up actually enjoying the interaction she has with the alien...via cell phone. The cell phone, google earth, cheapo antenna from radio shack and bolt cutters from sears, these are not the tools of a super hero but of ordinary Carrie Player who was taught a secret language as a child and shoots from the hip to try to get the aliens to leave humanity intact. These are the selling points that make this story easily accessible to those us who adore Tom Clancy but skim all descriptions of weaponry and tech because they are not central to the story. I don’t know how long this story has been posted but I find it rather surprising that a story this good doesn’t have a great many reviews while stories that are utter crap, in all most every category, have dozens. I highly recommend this story. "
