The Rainbow Fish

A beautiful fish dwelt in the vast blue sea,

bright scales that give off a shiny lustre,

that a diver from far away can see,

It was the Rainbow Fish, with beauty of the highest degree.

Once a blue fish requested the Rainbow Fish,

To give it one of its scales,

For the Rainbow Fish its scales were so precious,

Giving these was out of the question.

For its beautiful scales, it lost a friend,

Whose heart was broken, and who felt small,

The Rainbow Fish thought highly of itself,

The rudeness in its heart has made a wall.

After sometimes being all alone,

With no one to talk and no one to play,

The Rainbow Fish wants to gain some friends,

So all this loneliness could go away.

The Rainbow Fish went to Starfish for assistance,

Starfish guided it to a cave,

Which belongs to the Wise Octopus,

"It can help you," Starfish said with assurance.

The Wise Octopus heard its story and said:

"Share your scales and get back your friends,

You would not be lonely, or sad,

Sharing might be difficult, but it will not be bad."

The Rainbow Fish tried its best,

For it, the scales were a work of art,

It found the blue fish,

with a good intention in its heart.

Blue fish upon receiving the scale,

became overwhelmed with joy,

thanked the Rainbow Fish for sharing this,

This act filled its heart with bliss.

When it saw the happiness in the blue fish's eyes,

The Rainbow Fish made up its mind,

Sharing is caring

and to always be kind.
