Chapter 1
Long ago when mystic creatures still existed,somewhere far away there was a girl and an elf who had a child the child had unknown abilities so they named him Luca which means bringer of light they named him that so he will shine light to whoever he comes upon.
“You are a special little one who will find the truth to our lies” the mother shared with compassion .
The father gave a smile at little Luca “I sure hope your right”.
Millions of years later
{BEEP BEEEP BEEEP} Shaviv hit the alarm clock to turn it off {BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP} .
“Why won’t it turn off” Shaviv mumbled under his breath trying to block out the noise with his pillow.
He grabbed the alarm clock and threw it at the wall, it slammed against the wall making a dent and broke.
“Peace and quiet” he thought until his phone started ringing.
He grabbed his phone and answer as he sat up while he yawned and stretched.
“What do you want vivi” he said in the middle of a yawn.
“YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE AN HOUR AGO” Vivitsa yelled into the phone “why aren’t you here”.
Shaviv stop to look at the time on his phone “dang it” he thought.
“I uhhhh I’m on my way” shaviv hung up the phone and put it on his dresser.
He turn to look at himself in the mirror next to his bed “ugh bed head”.
He got up out of bed to do his daily routine, getting in the shower, then getting dress putting on a sleeveless hoodie with jeans, he brushed his pearly white teeth and messy black hair into a back ponytail, he cleaned his face and his dark brown eyes that have a determination to them and he oiled his coffee skin.
He went into his shaggy apartment kitchen and spread some jelly on a piece of bread, grabbed his book bag and his phone and put it in his pocket then ate on his way to the library.
On the way to the library shaviv phone started ringing, he took it out of his pocket and it said unknown number so he answered “yes?” Shaviv look around as the phone was silent.
“yes? Anyone there” “the knowledge to our lives are hidden” then the phone hung up “weird”he thought. As Shaviv continued to walk to the library the same caller called him back to back but he ignored it, when he got to the library entrance he got another call.
Shaviv looked at his phone then answered “yes Blake” shaviv said having an annoying tone in voice.
Blake chuckled “I can tell you’re not happy, what happened”.
“You told me you took care of that unknown caller”
“Mmmm well I thought I did, there calling you back again?”
“Yea actually a moment before you called me talking about something like hidden lives truth something like that”
“…….”
“You still there?”
“Yeah I’ll take care of it”
“And how exactly are you going to do that” Shaviv asked
“It’s classified”
“Everything you do is classified” he muttered
“What was that”
“Nothing I got to go”
Shaviv hung up the phone and went into the library to look for his friends “over here” he heard someone whisper. He looked around then spotted a girl with black curly in two side ponytails, light brown eyes that have an innocents to them ,a cream skin-tone wearing a blue and black butterfly dress with blue jeggings and a boy sitting next to her that has undercut silky dark brown curly hair, amber eyes that look sleepy or droopy, a dark brown skin wearing a cream sweater and black cargo pants. He walked over there and grabbed a chair then sat his book bag on the floor and sat down “Jiji Pragyan” he said
“what took you so long”Vivitsa asked with an attitude
“Why’d you call the meeting”Pragyan ask laying his head on the table. Vivitsa chuckled then pulled something up on her phone “ok so you all know how I’ve been like really into mythology recently”
“More like obsessed” Pragyan giggled at Shaviv comment.
“Come on this is important I need you all to be serious”
“Ok ok what do you got”
“Ok look at that”Vivitsa showed them a blurry photo of what could be mistaken as a dragon in the sky but shaviv was unimpressed.
“What if that’s an airplane or an helicopter” he said
“Come on shaviv airplanes nor do helicopters have wings as big as this and this was about 10 years ago, it’s a dragon just say it, they must of existed an maybe there even some more left”Vivitsa jumped out of her chair in excitement.
“SHHHHHHHHH”
“Oops sorry” she sat back down remembering where she was “what about you Pragyan, you believe me, right?”
Pragyan looked at Vivitsa then shaviv “it’s possible”
“You don’t believe me either do you Pragyan” she started getting frustrated “come on you all have to believe me”
“Prove it” Shaviv provoked
Vivitsa smiled then lefted
“Where did she go off to”
“Probably to get some books to prove her point, that’s why were having the meeting at the library”Pragyan answered
“Don’t you think vivi is getting over her head”
Pragyan looked at Shaviv “you think so?”
“don’t you remember last time when she got that this”
“Yea when she knew people were breeding animals together and was right”
“But don’t you remember all the times she wasn’t right”
Pragyan giggled “name one time she wasn’t right”
“Well don’t you remember when she thought po-“ Shaviv stop in the middle his sentence “oh”
“Oh indeed, she never was wrong she just hasn’t found the answer yet, however it’s going to get frustrating if she fells like she’s missing something and that’s why she has us”Pragyan rest his case
“I still think she’s getting too invested in this” Shaviv remarked
Jinni came over and dropped 8 books on the table “what are you doing”Shaviv asked
“You’ll see”Vivitsa lined up the books to where the first word of each book lined up.
“The unknown creature are a key to the” Shaviv read “to the what”
“Well I don’t know that part yet there are some books missing” Vivitsa ranted “but this is a hidden message or a clue and maybe it’ll lead to other mysteries and clues” she explained as she was muttering and ranting to herself and starting to tap her foot and bite her nails being deep in thought.
“Vivi”Vivitsa continued to be deep in thought in her own little world. “VIVI” Shaviv quietly shouted.
Pragyan looked at Shaviv with his frustrated expression then tapped on Vivitsa lightly to get her attention “hm?” Vivitsa responded to him confused then he pointed at Shaviv “OH! right my bad Shaviv, the point, yes, like I was saying this is a clue or a message or both! which I find super cool, I mean imagine how amazing it will be to find creatures beyond imagination I would be-“
“The point” Shaviv cut her off starting to get annoyed
“Right right right but this can prove that mythology creature did or still exist”
Shaviv looked at Vivitsa still unimpressed “you still don’t believe me”
“Keep on digging vivi and maybe you’ll get there” he encouraged “however I can’t stay”
“What why not”
“I’m trying to beat Blake home” he said as he grabbed his book bag and started walking away
“You always get home before him”Vivitsa yelled
“SHHHHHHHHH”
Shaviv walked out the library on his way home. As he was walking down the sidewalk shaviv got a chill as if someone was following him, so he decided to go to the park. Once he got there he sat on a bench but he still felt like someone was watching him, so he just called Blake. “Yes?” Blake answered .
“I feel like someone watching me now”
“Is it a feeling or are you sure”
Shaviv looked around but he couldn’t tell, there was bunch of people in the park how could he tell if someone’s watching him.
“Its just a feeling” he confirmed. Someone sat beside him on the bench. Shaviv started getting paranoid and he scooted over “could you come pick me up”.
“You know I’m busy I can’t j-“ ”please” shaviv said sounding desperate, Blake sighed “fine I’m coming where are you”
“I’m at the local park” shaviv answered
“I’m coming stay calm and just stay where you are……ok?”
“Ok” the the phone hung up. Shaviv was waiting for him to come pick him up trying to stay calm as he continued to fidget with his fingers while being on his phone.
“Hello mister” a little girl said.
He looked out of his phone to see a red head with freckles and a big smile, in a Girl Scout uniform that didn’t look any older then 5.
“I have one last bag of cookies mister and I’m selling them for free do you want them” she announced
“Ummm sure little… girl” the little girl gave him the bag of cookies that had snicker-doodles written on the bag and once shaviv took them the little girl skipped away.
Shaviv inspected the bag of cookies until he jumped at the sound of a car horn, he started looking around then saw a man with slick back black hair, light brown skin and blue eyes, wearing a tuxedo outfit in the car. “Blake” shaviv sighed as his mind went at ease, he then ran to the car and quickly opened the car door got in and shut it “well aren’t you in a rush” Blake laughed
“It’s not funny, that was terrifying”
Blake chuckled As he started driving away “since I left work in a rush,I have to make a stop, you can stay in the car though”
“Gladly” shaviv said slouching in the chair
Once they got to the stop Blake got out of the car and a woman stood in front of a weird looking building, shaviv watched them talk in a serious manner. He start to munch on the cookies that the little girl gave him. The woman gave Blake some paper then he walked back to the car and got in. Blake looked at shaviv confused “what” shaviv blurted
“Where did you get those from”
Shaviv looked at the cookies then looked back at Blake “well a little girl gave them to me at the park”.
Blake frowned then snatched the cookies from him “how many of these did you eat”
“Why are you getting so mad there just cook-“
“HOW MANY”Blake yelled
“I HAD 2” shaviv yelled back “now why are you getting so upset there just cookies”
Blake sighed in frustration then hit his head against the car steering wheel multiple times, he turned and looked at shaviv, and shaviv looked so concerned, worried and looks like his thinking what’s wrong with you at the same time “when you were little how much did I press not to take things from strangers”
“A…lot?” Shaviv mumbled “but isn’t that because of strangers danger and stuff like that, I’m 17 now I’m allowed to make my own decisions”
Blake sniggered then started driving off “what was that and where are we going”
“We’re going home, don’t be paranoid”
“Im not being paranoid I’m just cautious your laughing is throwing me off”
“Just sit back and enjoy the ride because from this point forward I can’t protect you no more”
“What do you mean”
Blake chuckled and gave a sarcastic smile “you’ll see”
