The Cleansing of Rowan County
"This is an excellent story that sucks you in from the beginning. Throughout the narrative tension builds as Sarah and Elizabeth struggle with each other and a local Reverend who becomes a witch hunter. A little twist at the end makes you want more. The flow of the story is a bit choppy. The dialogue tags tend to make it more difficult to read. Transitions between POV and Narration, slows down the pace as well. Changing character thoughts to italics will help with discerning from dialogue. "
Unexpected Ending
"Very nice short story with a great twist. I thought the buildup to the twist could have had a little more conflict thrown in, maybe more of a sense of urgency or secrecy in her work? Your writing style carried it through though and then once the plot twist hit, I was instantly sucked in. Great imagery and writing. "
