Chapter 1
It started on November 17th while Apolline Night was eating a stale cinnamon roll while looking at a case of a young girl named Eri May Kyojaku. She died from unknown causes and there were no suspects, no family. She lived alone. There was no picture of the body
“Odd. ” Apolline said to her coworker April Macdoogle who had hair down to her knees, crazy blue eyes, and an unreal height.
Oddly enough she did not have a boyfriend and turned down every coworker who asked her out, but always smiled at me. I also caught her glaring at a girl who tried to ask me out. When I asked why. she said she was protecting me because that girl was a “cheater” When April said “that is weird, ” Apolline replied with a small “yeah. ” Apolline was snapped out of her thoughts.
“Well, are we going to do this or not, “asked April while she grabbed the case folder from the black-haired girl.
“There is not that much to go on so we have to start from the beginning, “ said Apolline.
“Ok, well, let’s get started,” said April.
“Ok,” said Apolline.
They went to the crime scene and began to look around... While doing so, a man walked by, back and forth, watching them. Apolline noticed it and asked the man to leave the area.”
“This is a federal investigation site; outsiders are not allowed in the area.”
The man left slowly as if he had something to hide. Apolline wrote it down in her notebook and kept going. She found a child’s footprint where the body was supposed to be.
“Hmm,” she said.
“What is it Apolline,” asked April
“There was a child’s footprint under the body,” Apolline said.
“Really, “ asked April.
“Yes Look,” replied Apolline.
“Weird, I better take a pic,” said April.
“Yeah.” Apolline turned around to keep going but something caught her eye, something shiny and small. Apolline walks over to see what it is.
“It’s a metal tooth.” Apolline put it in an evidence bag and kept looking. After about an hour they stopped to have lunch at a cafe.
“So is it worth it,” asked April, “I think so” answered Apolline.
“ Ok, so where do we start?” asked April.
“We’re going to need a team to help us, but I think it would help if we could get access to the file on her,” said Apolline.
(2 minutes later) “Done!” yelled April.
“With what,” asked Apolline.
“The thing you asked for,” replied April.
“ What thin-” Apolline was interrupted by a sound on her phone. She looked down to see the files for the case.
“Good work,” said Apolline.
“I know.” charmed April.
“ Back to work. I say back to work,” said Apolline in a playful tone.
“Aw! Why do we have to? I really wanted another cookie,” said April with a pout on her face.
“Yes, Yes you do or no more cookies,” Apolline said while trying to keep a straight face.
When they get back to the site Apolline called for a team to help them. Eight hours later, after they sent the evidence to the lab, Apolline went to the cafe. She sat alone, going over the case. She always went there to relax. Then she sees her, or the name tag on a worker, “Eir’May” …
