Sweet and clever
"I can't believe this story has finished there. It's ended on a cliff hanger. This is a really sweet short story, following the mc who doesn't seem to realise she's been caught between a rock and a hard place. Her naivete is forgiven though because she's still doing something very productive, and that is helping the family in question by being a good healer, a good doctor. It's hard to find stories where the female lead is being productive. SO many stories out there have female leads where they complain and whine about their misfortune, but do nothing to help her situation. They pretend to be strong, when they're really pathetic. Here, Roydah demonstrates strength to do something about her life, and goes about it in the right way by being a healer. I like her, a lot! But then there's also the calculated cunning of the rival family working in the background which brings exciting tension to the storyline. There is some work to be done on writing style and structure. But there is evidence of great potential and a growing development in the writer's skill. Keep going and well done!"
Beautiful Healer
"A short story as stated. Cleverly done. It portrays clear goals between all the characters involved and centres around a mystery which our main character must learn to crack before time runs out. There is romance, drama, and an impressive amount of cunning from the antagonists, demonstrating the author possesses a sharp mind to develop such a conniving plan for the antagonists of the story and for our main character to try and thwart within logical and realistic limits. Writing skill is gradually improving with practice. The more writing done, the better we all become through trial and error. But this doesn't hide the great mind of the author able to construct the structures of her storylines. Keep going RachealK. You're doing great!"
