Chapter 1
Dwayne's dad recently passed away so he had to leave his current life to come back home to take over his fathers business and house hold, his best friend and now assistant came along with him. When they walked through the door of Dwayne's house his friends eyes lite up "hey man why didn't you tell me that you are this rich?" Paul said to him, Dwayne looks at him and raises a eyebrow "if I told you back then that I'm rich you would have only been my friend for the money" Paul puts on a hurt look "why do you think so little of me?" Dwayne laughs. That's how their friendship is they kid around with each other daily nothing is ever serious between the too of them.
Paul hitches his breath and pokes Dwayne in the side with his elbow "hey man who is that beautiful thing?" Dwayne follows Paul's line of sight and he looses his breath "that is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen" thought Dwayne. She has tanned skin blonde hair that comes midway to her back blue eyes that seem to shine and has the perfect figure, she has long skinny legs she looks like she just got out of high school. Dwayne and Paul both are eyeing her Paul leans over and whispers "what is a beautiful girl like her working as a maid here?" That's when he noticed the uniform he furrowed his brows "what is she doing working here as a maid?" He wondered. His mother came down the stairs "son Paul welcome home" she said in her motherly voice she walks to them and gives them a hug and a kiss each on the cheek, she turns to look at the maid the boys has been eyeing "Allora" she called out "Allora" they both said at the same time but only to themselves. Allora walks over and smiles at them "Dwayne Paul this is our new hired help Allora, she only works here 3 days out of the week and she is a college student" Allora stuck out her hand "nice to meet you all" Dwayne is the first to shake it "warm and soft" he thought to himself, Paul got a little excited and smacked her hand "I'm sorry" he said with embarrassment she laughs "it's ok I'm not a fragile person" both men are stunned by her smile.
"Allora go prepare some snacks and drinks for us we will have them in the backyard by the pond" Allora nods her head "I'll go prepare them now" she walked towards the kitchen and the men watched until she got out of their sight, the mom clears her throat "don't even think about it boys she is a good girl and just starting out on her own" they look at her with innocent faces "what?" They asked at the same time "you know what I mean" then she gave them a stern face "I'm sure you don't need me to show you to your old room do you?" Dwayne shakes his head no "good I'll meet you boys out by the pond in 10 minutes." Walking away from his mom Dwayne whispers to Paul "your first job as my assistant is to get every little piece of information about her" Paul scoff's "dang man I was going to call dibs first," this time Paul isn't joking he was really going to call dibs on her.
In the kitchen Allora is trying to calm down her blushing face "gosh those 2 are handsome, I never imagined Gracie's son would be that good looking" she thought to herself. He is tall and has sandy blonde hair hazel eyes he also has a beard and mustache that he keeps trimmed perfectly and his body is build perfect as well. After calming down she picks up the tray and walks outside to where Gracie is sitting, she sat the tray down on the table "if that's all you need from me today I'll be leaving" Gracie nods her head and smiles "alright Allora I'll see you tomorrow" she turns around and see's the boys walking towards her she smiles "have a good day gentlemen" she hurries past them and once she got into the house she puts her hands on her cheeks "gosh if they keep showing up I'm going go have to wear darker makeup so my blushing won't show up so easy" she said to herself. Dwayne got a whiff of her smell "not only is she beautiful but her smell, her smell I've never smelt anything like that before" he thought to himself. "Psst hey man" Paul whispered "I wonder what kind of perfume she wears it smells really good" Paul couldn't help but comment about it.
the next day the boys walk into the kitchen and they noticed Allora is arranging flowers in a vase they look at each other and smile, they walked closer to her pulling out stools to sit down. "what are you going to college for?" Dwayne asked her, she paused then turned around and seen the boys sitting right behind her she try's to keep herself calm but most importantly to keep her face from blushing "a vet assistant" the men are dumbfounded "she doesn't look like a animal lover to me" Paul thought. "what makes you want to go into that field?" he couldn't help but ask "they are already enough surgeons doctors and nurses for the humans but the animals are left out," Dwayne lift's his eyebrow while looking her body up and and down "you should have become a model" Allora thought about it shaking her head she said "nah that's not me" then she see's Gracie poke her head out and give her thumbs up. she looks at the boys and smiles "I did try to become a playboy bunny but Hugh told me to come back in 2 years that I'm still to young, he even gave me his personal cell phone number." both of the boys mouths flew open she smiles turns around and picks up the vase and walks out of the kitchen, the boys minds are blank they would have never guessed that about her. his mom laughs "close your mouths boys before you catch flies, that didn't really happen I put her up to it" Dwayne looks at his mom she shrugged her shoulders "what can't I have a little fun?"
Allora's work day is over with and Gracie paid her as she walked out of the door Dwayne is waiting for her "you and mom got us good" she smiles "Gracie is my boss so I have to do what she says plus the look on your all's faces was priceless," she couldn't help but laugh remembering the look on their faces "well I'm off see you Monday" then she walked away. Dwayne watched until she is out of sight" however she ended up being a maid here I'm glad" he thought to himself, Paul opens the door "hey man I called dibs first what do you think you are doing?" Dwayne raised his eyebrow up "if I remember correctly I had you to get information on her first, have you gotten it?"Paul nods "let's go somewhere private" Dwayne said to Paul. after getting off to their self's Paul hands Dwayne his findings "she is 20 years old she is attending a college here in town to become what she said, her mother died when she was young trying to save her brother from drowning. she lost her mother and brother both that day. her dad is still living but he grieved himself to death and now his health isn't all that good, he is constantly in and out of the hospital and she takes care of him. she isn't married or has a boyfriend, the only thing bad I could dig up is that she has a ticket from not stopping at a stop sign." Paul laughs "such a bad girl" Dwayne asked "how old was she when she lost her mom and brother?" Paul had to think about it "10 I believe" Dwayne nods "and her dad raised her?" Paul shakes his head "he tried according to the source he tried his best but he was also going through a hard time himself he blamed himself for not going with them that day. he was supposed to go but canceled last minute because they called him in for work and after the accident he wouldn't work for years." he sigh's "the source said that the neighbors felt sorry for them that they would all chip in and help them out, an anonymous donor paid for her college tuition."
the door pushes open "yes that was us" they look at the door "mom" Dwayne said she nods her head "I remembered hearing about that story and it stayed with me, I would see Allora and her dad out" she sigh's "I know the man was trying his best but he was also going through a tough time himself so me and your dad would secretly help them out." she sits down "your dad and I ran into her she was a waitress in a fancy bar and restaurant and men would always try to touch her and hit on her, your dad couldn't stand it so we pulled her into our private booth and she told us that she has to work to pay her college and help her dad out. even though he isn't in the best of health he still works but not like he used to." she wipes a tear from her cheek "your dad offered her this job here and when we got home we had a discussion the next morning your dad called the college and paid her tuition off."
laying on his bed Dwayne thinks about all the things he found out about Allora "such bad things has happened to her and yet she still smiles everyday and her smile is so beautiful" he thought to himself.
