A puzzle piece that if found could make everything worth it, a purpose, or something that turned your ordinary into extraordinary? Hello

I have a question to ask you. Do you ever feel weird? I don’t mean awkward in a crowd of people or the feeling that you’re ahead of your generation; I mean seeing shadows out the corner of your eye but knowing nothing should be there weird, feeling like coincidences happen to you a little too much weird. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then I urge you to please put this book down, erase it from your browser history, return it to wherever you found it, and walk casually away, continue living your unextraordinary life. As soon as you opened this, you put a target on your back. This was not meant for you and curiosity always kills the cat.

Still here?

Well, first off I’m sorry for what you’ve been through, and second, this book is a warning. People are after you and they will never stop until they have found you and do gods know what.

To make sure you understand what I’m about to tell you, I need to state a couple of quick facts. What I’m about to say may sound crazy at first and may even bring everything you’ve ever known into question but you’re going to need to trust me no matter how crazy it sounds.

Fact #1: Magic isn’t real. There isn’t magic that anyone can learn to use if they just try hard enough, and there are no spells or incantations that make people gods if they can just attain a big enough lexicon. Ignore pop-culture, they paid their writers to make sure you’re confused.

Fact #2: Your “magic” works more like genetic traits, people are born with certain abilities that are unique to their species, blood-line, and sometimes, though rarely, personality. (You wouldn’t try to teach a goldfish to climb a tree because that’s not what they’re built to do, all that nonsense).

Fact #3: Some people are better at using said traits than others, whether it be by training harder or just lucking out in the gene pool, life is by no means fair and it will always be a battle of the fittest.

Fact #4: If you’re one of us, no matter how safe you think you are, people will always be watching you, hunting you.

Fact #5: Finally, people like me are here to help you, for you to understand why you’ll first need to hear a story about a talented pair of siblings.

His Rejection Her Destiny

Merrell Bunting: Good characters who you can care about. While this is a plot done many times, it is well thought out and presented. The main female character is admirable and fully aware of and in charge of herself. This is a good read.
