Summary
The clock chimed, and the alchemist stirred... Lia Caglione is a witch of no consequence, and that's just the way she likes it, thank you very much. Unfortunately, fate and half-forgotten memories have other plans for her. Plagued by dreams of a crumbling city, a haunting lullaby, and a plea for her help, Lia has no choice but to undergo an ordeal that would send even the most practiced of magic users running. If that's not enough, she also has to deal with a snarky, stick-in-the-mud vampire. Sebastian Jaeger might be one of the infamous members of the J&J lawfirm, and sure, he might be a servant of Time itself, but as far as Lia's concerned, he can shove his I-know-better-than-you attitude where the sun don't shine. After all, Lia didn't ask to be hauled into Time's city and it definitely isn't her job to save the world.
