"This story was really interesting. I liked how it wasn’t immediately a romance between the two but you could pick up on the subtle chemistry building. I found myself hoping for them. I absolutely loved the character building of Sebastian. I loved how he was not a typical vampire and had a sympathetic/empathetic side. I could go on and on about him. Definitely disappointed to see him die yet, it was nice to see a not so typical main character plot. Lia was a little too mean to him but I think she would soften up hopefully if he finds a body to come back to her. Can’t imagine how she’d react to that - so I am definitely looking forward to future books! "
Excellent story
"I loved this book! The back and forth between characters is fantastic. The story isn’t like something you’ve read before so it’s fun to experience having no idea where it will go. The fun twist at the end has me unhappily waiting for the next book. Lol. "

The ending examples this - it resists devolving into the expected 'romantic' twining together of plot threads while leaving the door open for a sequel. Very much recommended."
