Chapter 1; ACCIDENT
... ᴀʟᴀʀᴍ ʙʟᴀʀɪɴɢ...⏰
Tess opened her eyes, she stretched and sat up before looking at the alarm clock which kept blaring. She exhaled and climbed down to make breakfast.
She was done and ate before having her bath. She was a successful black doctor and an orphan, she had no friends and was never in a relationship, she also never hanged out much and celebrated nothing not even christmas.
She wore her cloth and left the house heading for her car when her phone rang. "Hello"
"Tess, will you be at work today?" A girl asked over the phone.
"Yes why?"
"Uhh, it's just that I'll need your help"
"With?"
"You see my husband is uhh, taking me out tonight and I've got night shift. Could you please help me out?, I promise I'll help tomorrow"
Tess was quiet for a while, that was what her colleagues always wanted from her. "Alright"
"Yes!!" She screamed over the phone.."I love you"
"Yeah" Tess answered before ending the call, she sighed and got into her car driving to work.
Fɪᴠᴇ ʜᴏᴜʀs ʟᴀᴛᴇʀ.
Tess lifted her hand bag and left the hospital, she needed to head home and freshen up before coming to work night shift.
She had gotten home and had her bath and a change of clothes before seating on her couch checking her phone out, a message came up from her cousin who she spoke to once in a while.
'𝑪𝒂𝒏'𝒕 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒇𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏, 𝒍𝒆𝒕'𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓'
She had night shift and couldn't have dinner so she replied
'𝑪𝒂𝒏'𝒕, 𝑰'𝒗𝒆 𝒈𝒐𝒕 𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒇𝒕'
He sent again..
'𝑯𝒎𝒎 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝑰'𝒎 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒉𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒓𝒚, 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒚 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒚 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆, 𝑰 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒂𝒚 𝒂 𝒅𝒐𝒖𝒃𝒍𝒆. 𝑻𝒐𝒐 𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒂𝒏'𝒕 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒑 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒓'
She sighed on reading it before replying.
'𝑨𝒍𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕'

Tess placed an order for a package food and waited for it as she looked around the street at the passing people.
"Here"
She turned to the woman and took the package food. "Thank you" she whispered before paying and walking out.
She got to the hug building belonging to her cousin and walked in, she walked towards the elevator.
After a while it open and a white blonde hair girl stood in it, they were looking at each other but she felt so much like it was a glare. She sighed and walked in, as the door made to close a guy rushed in stopping it.
"Sorry" he whispered.
It closed and they were taken up. On the first floor it opened and an Asian guy who carried a school bag stood at the entrance, he kept staring at them when a brunett girl rushed in getting in before him.
"Hello Jackie Chan....are you getting in or not?" The blonde lady asked and as if coming back to his senses he rushed in before the door closed.
They were now moving up and saying nothing to each other as they were taken forward.
They got to the last floor and waited patiently for the door to open. It wasn't opening and the white guy stepped forward pressing a button but still nothing happened.
"What's wrong?" Asked the brunett
"I don't know it's not... it's not opening the buttons are not working" he said
"Not working?" Asked the blonde
"Well try harder" the brunette said getting frightened as Tess stood watching them.
The guy kept pressing the button but nothing was happening. "It's not working, we have to call for help" he said and brought out his phone while the brunette girl walked forward to press on the button.
"This is crazy" the blonde whispered.
"Hello.. hello" the guy kept saying but no one was answering before the call went dead.
"So?" Asked the blonde.
"I don't know the network was interrupted".
"Inter what?" She asked and brought out her phone. "What the hell?" She asked.
"We've got to do something, call someone" the Asian spoke.
"No network Jackie.." the blonde snapped at him.
"The button are not working!!" The brunette panicked.
"Curse this!!" The blonde said and walked forward pulling the brunette back.
"What are you doing?" Asked the brunette
"Pressing anything that works!!" She replied pressing all the buttons.
"Wait!!" The guys shouted and as he made to walk to her..., The elevator fell.
Their screaming filled the whole place as they were falling trying to hold themselves, they collided heavily hitting against the body of the elevator....
