Ray and Alice.
"I understand where Ray is coming from. Every man and woman has needs. After work, you're stressed from a hard day that you need relief . I've got to say, even though he told one woman no, he held back temptation. Even if he was sexually frustrated... you could tell he wasn't trying to be Ray Goodwrench. You could tell that Ray really loved his girlfriend, Alice, to seek a fun night with her. Alice? Two weeks without a date because it got canceled.. 🤔 💭 Ray tried to have intimacy with her, but she wasn't having it. Idk because it's like a mystery woman.. you have no clue how the pieces will come together. I understand why Ray felt how he did, but also Alice...cmon, you're gonna deny a good night with a boyfriend? Her reasoning made me doubt what she was really trying to do? Did she feel their relationship was all based on sex because Ray has a lot of stamina in his sex drive. Instead of the emotional part that comes with a relationship, like maybe not enough communication but more body talk.. Satisfy your man and then talk. Compromise because Alice was playing mind games if she admitted the truth later. Or maybe she just wanted Ray all pent up and frustrated...to want her so bad he ravishes Alice. I felt the guilt of a cheaters heart, but after two weeks of no lovin', you fall into seduction. I've also seen how Ray loves Alice, too. Yet I understand temptation can't always be resisted. Loved the story. Alice definitely wasn't on the same page as Ray. "
Short Review
"I meant to read one chapter at a time but ended up reading all chapters, the plot kept me hooked. I don't know whether to like or dislike the protagonist, humans are complex, and the author captured all the complexities well. Explicit stories are not my cup of tea to be honest, but I will probably read them as long as they are by @Spiceseeker. "
Oh Alice
"Per usual Spicy has expertly woven narratives together to make a tantalizing memory come to life. I of course still can’t stand Alice, she was an emotional rollercoaster and the fact I can react to her like that says amazing things about how well her character is written. Honestly, everyone should check out all of Spicy’s books. Ray’s vantage is pure gold. "
Comedic and Soulful
"This story is a great study in communication and the subtleties of relationships. It's a period piece that delves into what people say externally as they make their way through relationships and what they are actually thinking. The running internal dialogue of Ray rings so true and adds a comic dimension to the plot. We empathize with him as he has his sexual adventure and forgive him for his weakness. This story has detailed, soulful writing throughout and is a refreshing break from alpha werewolves and the other dross found in this genre. I highly recommend this author and this story! More please!"
