It was a bright and warm summer day. There were birds chirping and bees buzzing. Paisleigh was in her pool with her other two best friends. Her best friends were Alyssa and Katelyn. These three girls called their trio the K.A.P group. They called their group this because Katelyn is the oldest, Alyssa is in the middle, and Paisleigh is the youngest.

"Let's play a game!" said Paisleigh.

"Alright, what game are we going to play?" asked Katelyn.

" Oh, I have an idea, lets race across the pool to see who swims the fastest!" replied Alyssa.

"That is a great idea!" Katelyn and Paisleigh said with excitement.

"I will race Paisleigh first," said Alyssa.

"Okay, after I will race the winner," replied Katelyn.

Alyssa and Paisleigh raced front and back in the pool. They both tried to sabotage each other by splashing each other, shoving each other, and kicking each other. Alyssa eventually won after both of the girls were sabotaging each other.

"Good game," Paisleigh said to Alyssa.

"Good game to you too!" replied Alyssa.

"Okay so now I will race Alyssa." said Katelyn.

"By the way, do you guys want to grab a snack after this?" asked Katelyn.

"Sure, do you want to go to ice cream shop near your house?" asked Paisleigh.

"Yeah, let's go there!", Katelyn said with a smile on her face.

"Ok now I am going to race Alyssa. Paisleigh, make sure she doesn't cheat," Katelyn said sarcastically.

"Hey, I heard that!" Alyssa said while her and Paisleigh were laughing.

"Okay start in three, two, one, go!" Paisleigh said.

Both of the girls started swimming. They were both sabotaging each other like last time. After two minutes both of the girls ended in a draw.

"I totally won that!" both of the girls racing said to each other.

"You both won, let's go to the ice cream shop now!" said Paisleigh.

The trio went inside the house, changed, and dried their hair. After they were finished getting ready, they went down to the living room to grab their bags. They made sure that they brought enough money and walked to the ice cream shop.

When Katelyn, Alyssa, and Paisleigh got to their destination all of them ordered their ice cream. After ordering they waited for their names to be called to pick up the ice creams.

"Here you go!" said the person giving the girls their ice cream.

"Thanks, here you go, keep the change," said Katelyn.

"It was my turn to pay for you guys!" said Paisleigh as she huffed.

"Paisleigh, you only brought five dollars," replied Katelyn and Alyssa.

"Wait really?" Paisleigh said with a shocked look.

"Oh Paisleigh, what am I going to do with you," said Alyssa while she was shaking her head in disappointment.

All of the girls started laughing. They ate their ice cream and took photos with each other while making funny faces. While the trio were taking photos with each other a girl from their school approached them. Julia Parker. Julia is what you would call the perfect student. She is a straight A student, a popular cheerleader, president of the student council, and is a very pretty person. A lot of people would kill to be friends with her. So, when she approached them Alyssa, Paisleigh, and Katelyn immediately started freaking out.

"Oh my gosh, is that Julia?!" Alyssa asked the other girls with an excited expression.

"Yeah, that is her!" Paisleigh said while smiling at Katelyn and Alyssa.

"We must be dreaming right now, someone like her would definitely not want to be friends with people that aren't in her league," said Katelyn as she started moving her hands around.

"Guys we have to act natural; we don't want Julia to think that we are some weird people that admire her a lot even though we do!" Alyssa exclaimed.

"You are right, she might think that we are creepy and annoying, that would be terrible!" said Paisleigh.

"Guys she is walking towards us, shush!" Katelyn said as she made the girls quiet.

"Hey girls what are you guys doing?" asked Julia.

"Hi Julia, we are just taking selfies together and posting the photos on social media," replied Alyssa.

"Do you guys want to take a picture with me?" asked Julia.

"YES! Uh I mean sure!" said Paisleigh as her tone suddenly changed.

"Okay let's pose for the camera!" said Julia with an enthusiastic voice.

The girls took the picture and they talked for hours until they saw the time and decided to go home. While the trio were walking home all they could talk about was Julia hanging out with them. They were really excited about this because now Julia was their friend. What the trio didn't know was that Julia was a rotten person on the inside. She was manipulative, arrogant, selfish, self-centered, and demanding. The trio was blinded by how popular Julia was and how she was now their friend.
