Chapter 1

As I walked through the crowded halls of my university, I couldn't help but feel the world's weight on my shoulders. For weeks, I had been the target of relentless bullying from a group of boys who enjoyed making my life a living hell. But today was different. Today, I had had enough.

As I rounded the corner, I saw them standing there, smirking at me as if they owned the place. Without a second thought, I approached them and let my fists fly. The first boy went down with a thud, his nose bleeding profusely. The second tried to fight back, but I was too quick for him. With a swift punch to the gut, he crumpled to the ground in agony. The third boy was the biggest of them all, but I didn't let that intimidate me. I stood my ground and delivered a decisive blow to his jaw, sending him backward. As the boys lay there, writhing in pain, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction wash over me.

I stood outside the gates of the prestigious university and felt a sense of shame wash over me. I had been kicked out, and it was all my fault. My mistakes felt heavy as I tried to understand what had happened. I had always been a bit of a troublemaker, but I never thought it would lead to this. My grades had started slipping, and I had missed too many classes. I could make up for it by acing my final exams, but I needed to be corrected. When the results came in, I had failed miserably. Plus, I punched three boys inside the campus. The dean called me into his office and told me I was expelled. I begged and pleaded, but it was no use. I had messed up too many times, and they had given me too many chances.

As I looked back at the campus that had once been my home, I knew that I had to start over. I didn't know where or what to do, but I knew I couldn't give up. I had to find a way to make things right and prove to myself and everyone else that I could succeed.

Walking down the dimly lit hallway, my heart pounded with anxiety. My father found a new university willing to accept me even if it is already in its second semester. He walked beside me, his hand resting reassuringly on my shoulder. We were going to the principal's office, and our footsteps echoed through the empty corridor. The walls were lined with lockers adorned with stickers and graffiti from years of students passing through. The air was thick with the scent of disinfectant and old textbooks.

Finally, we reached the door marked "Principal's Office." He gave my shoulder a gentle squeeze before pushing the door open. A maiden stood waiting for us with a radiant smile. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she greeted us warmly. It was clear that she had been eagerly anticipating our arrival.

With a graceful gesture, she motioned for us to enter the room. My heart raced with anticipation. My father stood beside me, his gaze fixed on my face. With a nod, he signaled for me to enter the room ahead of him. I took a deep breath, stepping inside. He followed closely behind, his presence comforting at my back.

My eyes caught sight of a man, and I couldn't help but notice his impressive physique. His broad shoulders and strong jawline exuded a sense of power and authority. But it was his piercing, burning eyes that truly captivated me. They seemed to hold a lifetime of wisdom and experience, and I couldn't help but feel drawn to him. Despite his age, his undeniable strength and vitality about him commanded respect.

Sitting across from him, I couldn't help but feel a sense of intrigue. He had a way of carrying himself that spoke volumes about his identity, yet he remained mysterious. I longed to know more about him and unravel the secrets beneath the surface. But despite my best efforts, I needed help to get a read on him. It was as if he was intentionally keeping me at arm's length, refusing to reveal the depths of his soul. And so I sat there, captivated by his enigmatic presence, wondering what secrets he was hiding and what stories he had to tell.

"Good morning, Mr. and Ms. Alvarez," he said, his voice smooth and refined. "I am Mr. Edmund Alejandro, the head principal of this university."

He extended his hand toward my father, who shook it firmly. I stood there, frozen, unable to move or speak. My eyes were fixated on his hands, which seemed to be the only thing in the room that mattered. They were large and calloused, with scars and rough patches that told a story of hard work and determination.

As he turned to me, I finally found my voice and managed to mutter a greeting. He smiled warmly and shook my hand, but my mind was still lost in the mystery of his hands.

As my father stood before Mr. Alejandro, he could sense the tension in the air. Mr. Alejandro's eyes were fixed on my father, and his hands were outstretched as if waiting for something. My father's expression was apologetic, and he knew he had to make things right. After a few moments of silence, Mr. Alejandro slowly withdrew his hands, and my father breathed a sigh of relief. It was a small victory, but it meant the world to him.

"I have already prepared all the documents your daughter needs to transfer to this university. Please sign your signature here."

My father knew it was a hefty sum but would go the extra mile to secure my enrollment in the prestigious academy. Money was never an issue regarding my education, and he was determined to give me the best opportunities in life. With a deep breath, he signed the enrollment form and handed over the check, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He knew it was worth it.

I couldn't help but feel a twinge of regret for the mistakes that had led to my expulsion from my previous school. This new opportunity was my only chance to redeem myself and prove I could succeed.

When we left his office, I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Walking back down the hallway, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I was grateful to have my father by my side, and I knew that no matter what happened, he would always be there for me.
