Chapter I: The Scavenger Girl
The sun was beating down on the dusty planet of Gorgon, as the young girl crouched behind a pile of rubble, searching for anything valuable to scavenge. Her name was Alia, and she was only ten years old. She had been living on her own ever since Aidan's army had raided her small village and killed her parents.
Alia knew that it was dangerous to be out in the open, especially with Aidan's army patrolling the area. She was always careful to stay hidden, moving slowly and silently as she searched for anything of value. She had managed to scavenge enough to survive, but she knew that she needed to find something big if she was ever going to escape this life of poverty.
As she searched, Alia couldn't help but think about Aidan's empire. She had heard stories of the great cities and advanced technology that existed within its borders, but she had also heard of the violence and oppression that was inflicted upon the poor planets like Gorgon. The thought of it made her angry, and she knew that she wanted to do something to fight back against Aidan and his army.
But how could she, a small and insignificant scavenger, ever hope to take down a powerful empire? Alia pushed the thought aside for now, focusing instead on her scavenging. She rummaged through the rubble, finding only scraps of metal and broken machinery.
As the sun began to set, Alia decided to call it a day. She packed up her meager supplies and made her way back to her small makeshift shelter. As she settled in for the night, Alia couldn't help but feel a sense of despair. She was alone, poor, and powerless.
But she refused to give up. She would keep searching, keep fighting, until she found a way to take down Aidan's empire and make him pay for what he had done to her and so many others.
