Ben
Ben was different. Yes, he went to school every day. Yes he did his boxing classes once a week, every week. But every day from his mom’s apartment in Queens, he just didn’t know. Ever since his dad left him and his mom, they’d slowly been drifting apart.
At school, he wasn’t bullied or anything, but he still wasn’t happy. He had a couple friends. His best friend, Felix, though was autistic so teachers and staff tended to pay more attention to him. He wasn’t mad at Felix for this. He just wished someone would pay him some attention.
Well, there were the days his grandparents looked after him. His grandpa an ex-heavyweight champion. His grandma, able to bake to best training snacks. But he couldn’t always be with them.
One day Ben was walking to school with his Grandpa. "...And then I upper cut. he tried to dodge but Boom! Strike! Right Hook. Strike! Jab! Jab! BOOM SHACK-A-LACKA! That fool got knocked out so quickly he didn't get to raise a fist. and that was how I knocked out the heavyweight Prince Of Persia," Grandpa finished off happily, ", and this is how your going to survive through the school day!" Grandpa grinned as he pulled out Bens backpack! "Gran-pa!" The elder ruffled the youngers hair.
"Go on Scally- wag!" whispered Grandpa...
...and the fact ben was kissed by him... made him feel all the better!
He opened to doors and the first thing he saw was a group of kids beating up another. The kid was on the ground, crying and cowering. No kid his age would be seen doing that. "You! autistic! damn! Retard!" yelled the leader of the group who was kicking and punching him."
Something weird happened then, his skin turned pitch black. his hair purple and spiky; he looked like an anime character! He charged the bullies. He was almost like his grandpa in a way!' Those bullies scampered like injured dogs. Slowly, Ben turned back, panting heavily.
Realising what he had done, he ran for the doors. Busting through the doors, he ran, heading for home... what happened!?! Am I a freak!?!
Then a shout of, "YOU! NEW KID!" He turned. MISTAKE!!! Uppercut to the face. Ben was thrown backwards! "Get the HELL up!" yelled the lead bully surrounded by the other 4. Ben got back up alright... and there in lied the problem.
